Your heartfelt prayer for protection over your home and your children has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before our Lord Jesus Christ with gratitude and urgency.

We thank God that salvation and protection are found in Jesus Christ alone, through His blood shed for us. It is through Him that we are delivered from evil and brought into adoption as sons and daughters, and it is under the shadow of His wings that we seek refuge. I pray that the Lord will cover your home, every door and window, every room and corner, and guard your hearts and minds with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May He command His angels to keep watch around you and grant you all a restful and quiet night.

I lift up your son before the Lord. I pray that Christ, who praised the faith of those who came to Him and said thy faith hath made thee whole, will calm his thoughts and emotions, quiet fear and anxiety, and grant him comfort and rest. I pray that God will give him grace to grow in functional language to express his needs and feelings with gentleness, and that the Lord will fill his nights with peace and his days with joy. We ask for the Lord's mercy and healing according to His perfect will, and for strength for you as you love and care for him.

I lift up your younger daughter as well. I pray the Lord will strengthen her body and mind, guard her health, bless her studies and work with favor, and surround her with godly and uplifting friendships. May she know deep confidence in the love of Christ, sleep peacefully, and be kept safe from all harm. I pray that in the Lord's perfect timing He will provide a godly spouse for her within the holy covenant of marriage, which God has ordained as a lifelong union of one man and one woman, where love and life together belong.

I also bring your older daughter before the Lord with deep compassion. I pray that God will open her eyes to truth, protect her from confusion, manipulation, control, and every influence that seeks to isolate her and divide her from her family. We do not ask God to bless a living arrangement outside of marriage, for Scripture teaches that living together and sexual union belong within marriage alone, but we do ask Him to break every ungodly tie that binds her, to restore her wisdom, her self worth, and her longing for home, peace and righteousness. I pray that the Lord will frustrate every scheme that causes division and that He will give her clarity to see this arrangement not as a marriage but as a bondage that brings exhaustion and chaos, and give her courage to walk away from it and return to safety and faith. I pray that she will no longer feel obligated or trapped, but will remember the love of her family and the purpose God has for her, and that God will in His time provide a godly spouse for her according to His design. I pray for the young man and his family too, that the Lord would lead them to truth and to focus on what is right before Him, and that any controlling or divisive influence would be removed from your daughter's life.

I pray for you, that the Lord will fill you with wisdom, grace, strength and courage to navigate this season. As members one of another in the body of Christ, we owe one another love, and I pray that love will be renewed in your family. May God restore unity, respect and joy in your gatherings, drive out all spiritual darkness with His light, and let no weapon formed against you prosper. I pray He will guard your finances and give you means to help others as you desire.

May this year be marked by restored fellowship, deeper faith, and the comfort that comes from trusting Christ fully. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and deliverer. Amen.

Your heart for your children is evident in this prayer, and your desire to cover your home with the blood of Jesus Christ is right and good. God hears a parent's cry, and He invites you to come to Him not as a distant judge but as a Father who loves you.

There is only one begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, full of grace and truth, sent to redeem us. Through Him we who believe are adopted into God's family. We are not brought in on the basis of law or performance, but by promise through faith. That means your relationship with God is not a cold legal standing but a living, loving relationship as His child. Because you are adopted through Christ, you can bring every burden for your home, your children, and your own heart directly to the Father, and He hears you.

For your son, be encouraged that God sees affliction and hears cries. As with Leah who felt unloved and Rachel who felt reproach, God looked and God listened, and He remembered them. He sees your son's struggles with past trauma, anxiety, frustration and the patterns that distress him. Pray that the Lord will calm his thoughts and emotions, guard his heart and mind in Christ, and give him a gentle and gracious spirit with functional language to express his needs and feelings. The Scripture says that those who dwell under the shadow of the Most High rest under His wings, and you can ask for that covering of peace over his sleep, his meals, his activities, and his dreams, that fear and torment would be lifted and replaced with comfort and joy.

For your younger daughter, it is right to ask for the Lord's healing, protection, and favor over her body, her mind, her studies and her future. Pray that God will surround her with uplifting, godly friendships and, in His perfect timing, a godly spouse who walks with Christ. Ask Him to keep her heart at peace even when she feels the pain of seeing her older sister pulled away, and to guard her rest with confidence in His love.

For your older daughter, your discernment is important. Scripture is clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. What God has called marriage ought not to be treated casually, and living together outside of marriage is not marriage at all. It often brings the very fruit you are seeing, exhaustion, isolation, loss of self worth, division and chaos. Scripture shows this plainly. When Dinah was taken outside of God's design for marriage, the text says it was a thing that ought not to be done, and it brought grief to her whole family. When a king made an ungodly alliance by marrying his son into a family that did not honor God, it brought havoc upon both households. And when there is polygamy and striving for love through human effort, as with Jacob's wives, it only produced rivalry and sorrow. God does not bless what He has not ordained, but He does offer freedom and restoration.

So pray not that God would bless that living arrangement, but that He would open your daughter's eyes to truth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and deliver her from feelings of obligation and worthlessness. Just as Scripture says to cast out the bondwoman and her son because the child of the flesh cannot share the inheritance with the child of promise, ask God to break the hold of manipulation, control and confusion that has come through this young man and his family. Pray that every scheme to cause division, to put conditions and payment on family love, and to use her to support another's habits would be frustrated and come to nothing. Pray that she would no longer treat this bondage as if it were marriage, but would find courage to step away, return to safety, to her family, and to her faith, and that God would restore her wisdom, her joy, and her sense of worth in Him.

God is able to redeem and rename. Rachel called her last son the son of sorrow, but his father gave him a new name, son of my right hand. Ruth, who came from outside God's people, was brought into the family line of the Messiah through the faithful love of a redeemer. God can lift your daughter out of sorrow and bring her into a place of honor and hope again. Pray for a future godly spouse for both of your daughters, men who love Christ and will love them as Christ loves the church.

For your whole family, continue to declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and to ask for wisdom, grace, strength and courage to navigate this season. Ask the Lord to let His light shine into every dark place, to drive out fear and to fill your home with His peace that passes understanding. Ask Him to restore love, unity and laughter, to guard every door and room with His presence, and to keep your finances and your fellowship strong so you can be a blessing to others.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son, we bring this mother and her children before You. Cover this home with Your protection. Let Your angels keep watch and let Your peace guard every heart and mind. Calm this son and give him rest and clear words. Strengthen this younger daughter and keep her in health and hope. Open the eyes of this older daughter, break the chains that hold her, and lead her out of this ungodly living arrangement into freedom and wholeness. Restore this family in love and unity, rooted in Your grace. We trust Your mercy and Your power. Amen.
