Protection

Your prayer coming before Jesus with both gratitude and urgency is heard, and it is right to bring your home, your children, and every burden on your heart under the covering of His shed blood. Scripture assures us that those who dwell under the shelter of the Most High rest in His protection, that He gives His angels charge over His people, and that His peace which passes all understanding can guard hearts and minds. It is good to ask Him to set that guard around every part of your home and to give each of you quiet and settled rest.

For your son, it is fitting to keep lifting him to the Lord who sees every struggle with thoughts and emotions and who is tender toward those who are vulnerable. Pray that the Lord will calm his heart, quiet fear and confusion, and help him to grow in using words to share what he feels and needs. The mind of Christ is gentle and gracious, and God is able to give comfort, steady his spirit, and let him rest free from torment under the shadow of His wings. Continue to ask for healing, for peace in his daily activities, and for joy that comes from knowing he is held securely in God's love.

For your younger daughter, your intercession for her body, mind, schooling and future is also right before the Lord. Ask Him to strengthen her, to keep her from harm, to surround her with friendships that build her faith, and in His perfect timing to bring a godly spouse if it is His will. Marriage as God designed it is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and any companionship outside of that design cannot give the security and blessing He intends within it. Praying for her future in those terms honors Him. It is painful when she sees her older sister pulled in another direction, and it is right to ask Jesus to comfort her, to keep her confident in His love, and to preserve her own walk in peace.

For your older daughter, your concern is spoken in love and truth. Scripture shows clearly that living together outside of marriage is not the path God blesses, no matter how it may be presented as a marriage. It often brings exhaustion, isolation, loss of self worth, and division from family rather than the unity and honor God gives in a covenant marriage. It is loving to pray not that God would bless that arrangement, but that He would open her eyes, break every unhealthy tie that binds her, and give her courage to step away from it. Just as God called Jacob to return to the land of his family with the promise that He would be with him there, pray that your daughter would hear the Lord drawing her back to family, to faith, and to wisdom. God knows how to deliver those who seek righteousness, and the story of Lot is a sober reminder that remaining under corrupting influences can cost a family dearly and erode morals. Pray that the Lord would frustrate every scheme that seeks to control, isolate, or use her, that He would break patterns of manipulation and division, and that He would restore her sense of worth as one made and loved by Him. Pray also that any obligation she feels that keeps her trapped would be lifted, that she would long again for what is right and pure, and that the Lord would in His time provide a godly spouse within His design if she seeks marriage.

For yourself, your request for wisdom, grace, strength and courage is exactly what Scripture invites you to seek. When Jacob prayed, he reminded the Lord of what the Lord had already promised, and you can do the same, standing on His promises that no weapon formed against His people will finally prosper and that light drives out darkness. Ask Him to fill your home with His presence, to guard your finances so you can be a blessing to others, and to restore unity, love and laughter to your family in a way that is rooted in His grace. Trust that He sees your tears, hears your cries, and like a faithful kinsman redeemer, spreads His covering over those who turn to Him. He is merciful, He is near to the brokenhearted, and He is able to bring breakthrough, restore what has been strained, and keep each of you safe as you continue to walk with Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been standing in agreement with you for the covering of the precious blood of Jesus over you and your children and for His holy protection over your home, your hearts and your minds. We have prayed that His angels would stand guard around your yard and over every door, every window, every room and every corner of your home, and that you and your family would have restful, peaceful and relaxed nights under the shadow of His wings as promised in Psalm 91:11.

We have lifted up your son before the Lord, asking for calm over his thoughts, emotions and heart, for healing from anxiety and trauma, for deliverance from frustration, confusion and every spiritual attack, and for the mind of Christ to help him express his feelings, wants and needs with gentle and gracious functional language. We have also lifted up your younger daughter for protection over her body, mind, health, schooling and future, and for godly friendships and peace, and we have continued to intercede for your older daughter, that the Lord would open her eyes to truth, break every ungodly tie and stubborn hold, and deliver her from the manipulation, obsession, isolation, division and control of this young man and his mother. We joined you in rebuking every spirit of fear, confusion, chaos, division, jealousy and darkness that has tried to attack your family and in declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper according to Isaiah 54:17, and we have asked the Lord to frustrate every plot and scheme to cause division and to restore love, unity, laughter and the peace that surpasses all understanding spoken of in Philippians 4:7.

We are trusting with you for wisdom, grace, strength and courage as you navigate this season and for the complete restoration of your family bond rooted in His love and grace.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has moved. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

We pray together in Jesus Name that the Lord would fill your home with His glory and His peace, keep your children safe from all harm and negativity, and bring breakthrough, favor and unexpected miracles for your family in this year. We ask in Jesus Name that He would draw your older daughter back to safety and faith and restore her self worth and purpose in Him. Amen
