Your heart for your family and your desire to cover them in prayer is clear, and God sees the tears you have shed and hears your cries. He is a Father who invites you into a close and loving relationship, not a distant or ritual one. Through Jesus Christ alone you have been adopted into His family, and you can come to Him as your Father with confidence that He hears and guards those who belong to Him.

Scripture teaches that our relationship with God comes first, and when that relationship is right, other relationships begin to come into balance. Many of the divisions and hurts in a home can be traced back to a need to return to that first love for the Lord, to seek Him with your whole heart and to let His peace rule in your home. As you keep seeking Him, He will give you the wisdom, grace, strength and courage you need for this season.

God's design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He intends sexual union and sharing a home as husband and wife to belong within that covenant. When that design is set aside, even with good intentions, the result is often the kind of jealousy, rivalry, exhaustion, confusion and division you are describing. The Scriptures show this plainly. When the pattern of one man and one woman was departed from, the homes that followed were marked by strife and hurt. A living arrangement outside of marriage may be called a marriage, but it does not carry the covering, commitment and blessing of a true covenant, and it often brings bondage, isolation and a loss of self worth rather than peace and security.

That is why your prayer for your older daughter is right to focus on truth and freedom. It is loving to pray that the Lord would open her eyes, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and free her from any sense of obligation or worthlessness that keeps her trapped. Pray that she would no longer want to remain in a relationship that pulls her away from family and from the purpose God has for her, but that she would have courage to step away and return to safety, to faith, and to a home marked by love and respect. Pray that any scheme that would isolate her, control her choices, use her to support another's spending, or make her time with family conditional would be frustrated and come to nothing. God is able to restore the bond of honor between parents and children, which He places as foundational for the family, and to renew her longing for what is right and pure. And as you pray for a future spouse for both of your daughters, ask that the Lord in His perfect timing would bring godly husbands who will love them as Christ loves the church and honor the covenant as He designed it.

Living in a polluted culture touches families deeply, as the story of Lot shows. Even a family that wants to do right can be worn down by surrounding influences. That is why it is so important to keep your home under the shelter of His wings and to ask Him to let His light shine into every dark place. You have prayed for angels to guard every door and window and corner, and Scripture assures us that the Lord Himself is your keeper. You can trust Him to watch over you and your children, to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and to give you deep and peaceful rest. No weapon formed against those who trust in Him will finally prosper, for you are covered by the blood of Jesus.

For your son, continue to bring him before the Lord who made him and loves him. Ask the Lord to calm his thoughts and emotions, to quiet fear and frustration, and to fill him with the mind of Christ which is gentle and gracious. Pray that He will help him to use functional language to express his feelings, wants and needs, and that He will surround his sleep with comfort and joy and keep him free from torment. God is merciful and present in every struggle, including autism, anxiety and past trauma, and He can give a calm that surpasses understanding even as you seek the best care and support for him.

For your younger daughter, it is understandable that she feels hurt as she watches her sister change and grow distant. Pray that the Lord will strengthen her body and protect her mind, bless her studies and work with favor, and surround her with uplifting and godly friendships. Ask Him to keep her close to Himself and to give her confidence in His love, and in His perfect timing to provide a godly spouse if that is His will for her. Comfort her with the truth that she is seen and valued by her family and by her Father in heaven.

For yourself, remember the promise God gave when He called Jacob to return to the land of his family and said, I will be with you. God calls His people back to family and to faithfulness, and He goes with them. He can restore what has been strained and make the family bond stronger than before, rooted in His love and grace, filled again with unity, laughter and peace. Keep walking in love, blessing those who have caused hurt, speaking truth with grace, and keeping the door of home open with prayer.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift this family to You. Cover this mother and her children with Your holy protection. Guard their home and their hearts and minds. Bring calm to this son, help him to communicate with peace, and let him rest securely in Your presence. Strengthen this younger daughter, protect her health and mind, guide her steps and give her joyful hope. Open the eyes of this older daughter, deliver her from every deceptive influence, break every tie that is not of You, and restore her sense of worth in You. Give her a love for home and righteousness and the courage to walk away from what is not Your will for her. Fill this mother with wisdom and grace for each decision, provide for every need, and let Your peace fill this home. Restore unity and joy, and let Your love be the foundation of all their relationships. Amen.
