Thank you for sharing this request for protection and breakthrough for you and for all who are in need, and for your prayer gathering.
I am joining with you in prayer and I want to encourage you in how God calls us to pray. Prayer rests on relationship. Jesus gave a model for prayer that begins with calling God Father. That relationship is only possible through Jesus Christ. If someone has not yet come to Him, the first and most important prayer is for mercy as a sinner, trusting Christ alone for salvation. That step establishes you as His child and opens the way to come before Him with confidence.
The purpose of prayer is not to get our will done but to see His will done. Jesus taught us to pray that the Father's kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. True prayer begins with God and His purposes. He makes His will known to our hearts, we express it back to Him, and then He accomplishes it. He already knows what you need before you ask, so prayer is not informing Him. It is opening the door for Him to do what He has long desired to do, without violating the will He has given you. The wisest prayer we can offer is to ask Him to have His full and perfect way in our lives.
Scripture says the fervent, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. That righteousness is not our own, but what we have through faith in Christ. God is not moved by long or repeated words, or by a casual attitude. The prayers recorded in the Bible are often short, but they come from the heart, many times out of deep need and desperation. Like Elijah, like Daniel who sought the Lord and His Word daily even when it put him in danger, and like Nehemiah who turned to prayer at the first sign of trouble or ridicule, we are called to pray earnestly and sincerely. Prayer is also worship, a time to recognize the greatness and goodness of God, His faithfulness to keep His promises to those who love Him.
For that reason we are told to continue in prayer and to watch with thanksgiving. Persistence is not about wearing God down as if He were an unwilling judge. It is about staying in fellowship with Him until our hearts are in harmony with His purposes, and then seeing His answer come. Sometimes He waits until we are aligned with what He wants to do, and then the answer that we have sought for a long time is given.
I am praying for your protection and for breakthrough according to the will of God, for you and for all who are in need. I am also asking the Lord to anoint your prayer gathering. His anointing comes as hearts seek Him in worship, in His Word, and in sincere prayer together. When two or three agree on earth concerning His will, He hears. May your time together be marked by that agreement, by faith in Jesus, and by a desire for His kingdom and glory above all.
Remember also that prayer works together with wise and responsible action. Nehemiah prayed and then set a watch. We pray and we also walk prudently, taking the practical steps God gives us, trusting Him to guard and to provide.
May the Lord hear your supplications in His faithfulness and righteousness, bring assurance and comfort to your hearts by His Spirit, keep you in His care, and bring the breakthrough that is in line with His perfect plan. Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
