Beloved of All
Your sincere and burdened prayer has been heard, and I join you in bringing your family before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving and trust in His mercy and power.
The first place of peace is your own relationship with God. Scripture shows that when our relationship with Him is right, our other relationships begin to come into order. When that vertical relationship is neglected or broken, our horizontal relationships suffer. God does not want a distant or ritual connection with you, but a close, loving relationship as a Father with His children. Through Jesus you have been adopted into His family, born again by His Spirit, and you can come to Him as your Father. Seek that first love with Him again, that intimate walk where you rest in His love and He pours His love into your heart. From that place He will give you wisdom, grace, strength and courage for this season.
I pray with you for the covering of the blood of Jesus Christ over you, your home, and your children. May the Lord set His protection around every door and room, and grant you all a restful night under the shadow of His wings. His peace, which goes beyond understanding, can guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and no weapon formed against those who are His will ultimately prosper.
For your son, I pray that the Lord will calm his thoughts and emotions and give him deep peace. Ask the Lord to help him grow in using clear, functional language to express his needs and feelings, and to grant him gentle and gracious ways. God sees his struggles with anxiety, frustration and past hurts, and He is compassionate. While we pray for healing and for freedom from torment and fear, we also trust God's loving presence to surround him day and night, to comfort his sleep and to fill him with joy. Continue to love him faithfully and to teach him to look to Jesus for calm.
For your younger daughter, I pray for God's healing, protection and favor over her body, mind, studies and future. May the Lord surround her with godly friendships that build her up, keep her heart at peace, and guard her from discouragement as she sees division in the family. Pray that she will keep her eyes on the Lord and find her security in His love, and that in His perfect time He will provide a godly husband according to His design for marriage.
For your older daughter, I pray with special urgency. God's design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and living together outside of that covenant is not His will and does not bring His blessing. It often brings exhaustion, confusion, loss of self worth, isolation and division, as you have seen. Scripture shows that when relationships are formed outside God's pattern, jealousy, rivalry and sorrow follow, and when His people dwell close to corrupting influences, the morals and unity of the family are put at risk. I pray that the Lord will open her eyes to truth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and free her from any sense of obligation or trap that keeps her there. May she no longer treat this living arrangement as if it were marriage, but find the courage to step away from what is harmful and to return to safety, to family, and to fellowship with the Lord. Pray that she will honor her parents and rediscover gratitude for the family God has given her, and that her heart will long for righteousness, peace and home. Pray also that God will frustrate and bring to light any schemes that seek to divide your family or to use her for selfish gain, and that He will lead her to desire, in His time, a godly marriage rooted in commitment and purity if it is His will for her.
For you, I pray that God will fill you with wisdom to navigate each conversation with love and truth, without manipulation or control, but with the grace that blesses and builds up. Even when others have shown hatred or hurt, God calls us to bless and to seek reconciliation where possible, while also setting wise boundaries. Remember His promise to be with those who return to Him and to their family in obedience. He is the God who restores what has been broken and who shines light into dark places.
Continue to pray that your home will be filled with God's presence, that love, unity and laughter will be restored, and that your finances and all that He has entrusted to you will be used to bless others. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the only Savior, and trust Him to do what is best for each of your children in His way and time. He hears your tears and your cries, and He is faithful.
