Protection

We join you in bringing this request for extra strong protection and breakthrough before the Lord, for you and for all who are in need.

We pray that God, who is strong and mighty in battle, would cover you with His protection and keep you in His care. In Christ He has already won the victory, leading captivity captive and giving gifts to His people, and He came to preach deliverance to captives and to bring sight to the blind. We ask that you would know that deliverance in your own life, not only as rescue from outward danger but as His strength to stand firm above danger, trusting in the immortality of the soul and the hope of resurrection that He has secured.

We ask the Father to supply what is good and to deliver from what is evil, and to confirm you as His child through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for it is only through putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption that we have true safety. May He equip you with strong armor for the warfare at hand, with a steadfast purpose of mind, and with Christ Himself as your Commander who stands by ready to help and remains unconquerable.

We pray that He would hear your prayers and supplications as He heard His Son who offered them with strong crying and tears, and that He would teach you obedience and trust through what you suffer, granting you breakthrough according to His wise and loving will. May He also use you to extend protection, diligence and every good gift to your neighbor, living for the common good as you have been enabled by His grace.

We continue to lift you up, asking for His guard over your life, your household, and all who are in need, that you may walk in peace and confidence under His hand. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you for reaching out with this request for protection and breakthrough. God hears that cry, and He is able to answer it.

There are times when God allows His people to come into situations that feel impossible, where there is no visible way out. He does this so He can show His power to deliver when human help and human solutions fail. He is able to make a way where there is no way. Just as He opened the sea for Israel and brought them through, He can make a path for you and for all who are in need, and bring you through to the other side. When He does, the right response is praise, like the song that rose up after that deliverance, rejoicing that the Lord has triumphed and has brought His people through.

Scripture calls God your fortress and place of strength. When you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, living in close fellowship with Him, you can trust Him as your refuge. He promises to deliver from the trap of the enemy, like a bird caught by a trapper, and to cover you as with wings, giving comfort and safety. His truth is your shield. Jesus Himself used the truth of God's Word to stand against the attacks of the enemy, and that same truth protects you today.

God also promises His presence in trouble, to answer prayer, to deliver and to honor those who trust Him, and to show them His salvation. That is the blessing of walking with Him day by day.

That great deliverance from Egypt is a picture for us of a greater deliverance. As Israel passed through the sea, which points to the meaning of baptism, so we have been delivered from the bondage of sin through the blood of the Lamb of God who was slain for the world. That deliverance is not just remembered once, but is to be remembered continually. Through His divine power He has given us everything we need for life and godliness. As His Word takes root in our hearts like seed in good soil, we are made to share in His nature and His character is formed in us, love, joy, peace and the other fruit of His Spirit.

There is also protection and strength in being part of His body, as believers support and uphold one another.

I am praying for you and for all in need, that God will be your strong protection, that He will make a way where there seems to be no way, that He will bring breakthrough according to His will, and that you will know His presence with you in every trouble, His covering over you, and His peace as you trust His Word and rest under His care through Jesus Christ.
