Beloved of All
When you ask for strong protection, you are reaching for the very thing God promises to those who take refuge in Him. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. That is not passive safety. It is the active, fighting shelter of one who knows that the battle is not won by human might or by the strength of our own hands. The enemy would love to convince us that we can stand alone, that our spiritual walls are high enough and our own resources deep enough. But the moment we think we are strong independent of God, we are actually at our most vulnerable. The Lord allows us to discover this: He tests areas where we feel self-sufficient so that we learn again to cast every care on Him and find our true strength in His grace.
I understand the cry for breakthrough. There are seasons when obstacles feel like a heavily guarded house, and the adversary seems to have fortified the doors. Yet no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man. We are not the strong man in that picture; Jesus is. He has already bound the powers that oppose us, and He leads us in a victory procession. Breakthrough does not start with a new resolution or a louder cry but with a renewed awareness that He knows your need before you even speak it. He does not need to be informed, but He delights in your coming boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in time of need. Human need has always moved His heart, and He is not limited by earthly provision or earthly obstacles.
As you ask for protection, I would gently remind you that the desire for it is not just about outward safety. The deeper law of God addresses the strong desires within us. We can want something so fiercely, yet not recognize that unchecked craving can itself be a snare. Paul discovered that the commandment “You shall not covet” exposed a whole surge of inner lusts he had never recognized as sin. In the same way, a longing for visible protection can become a demand born of fear rather than a trust rooted in love. Perfect love casts out fear. Motivated by love for Him, we can rest in His care without panic, knowing that whether He shields us from every storm or carries us through the middle of it, His presence is the ultimate safeguard.
We are praying not only for you but for all who are in need. There is no limit to the secret place of the Most High. Many are feeling the weight of circumstances that seem to require a supercharged emotional jolt or a dramatic revelation. What we truly need, however, are new experiences in the old and unfailing revelations God has already given. His Word is filled with promises: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” “Be strong and courageous.” Those words are not weak encouragement; they are the very thing the Spirit repeats and confirms through the fellowship of believers, just as the tribes once said to Joshua what God had been saying to him all along: “Be strong and courageous.”
Do not be afraid of the size of the army you are facing, or the chariots you can count. The God who provided the Lamb for Abraham on the mountain, who saw the need and met it, is Jehovah-Jireh. He is the Lord who sees you. Run into that strong tower now, not as a last resort but as your first and constant dwelling. And then, even when you receive the breakthrough, guard against the subtle whisper that you no longer need Him quite so urgently. The blessings He gives are meant to make us strong in the Lord, not to make us strong in ourselves. Keep coming back, keep depending, and keep feeding on the solid food of His faithfulness, so that you grow mature and able to discern between the good and the evil.
For those who are weak, for those who simply need the quiet reverence of His peace, and for those who need the loud anthem of deliverance, the same Lord is rich to all who call upon Him. We join our faith with yours and ask together for His strong protection and complete breakthrough, confident that He who did not spare His own Son will freely give us all things. He satisfies us with long life and shows us His salvation. Stay in that strong tower. You are safe.
