Protection

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection and breakthrough. Heavenly Father, we recognize that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. In a world filled with turmoil, danger, and unseen spiritual battles, we stand firm in the promise that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Yet we know that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and so we take up the full armor of God, belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Lord, we declare that the blood of Jesus Christ covers us, our families, and all who cry out for Your protection. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy, every spirit of fear, violence, accident, sickness, or oppression, and command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We plead the blood over our homes, our vehicles, our workplaces, and our minds. We ask You to station Your holy angels around us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). Where there is darkness, let Your light break through. Where there is bondage, let Your freedom reign. Where there is despair, let hope arise.

Father, we also lift up those who are in desperate need of a breakthrough, those facing financial struggles, broken relationships, addiction, illness, or spiritual oppression. You are the God who makes a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19). We ask You to open doors that no man can shut and to provide miraculously where there seems to be no provision. Break every chain of generational curses, strongholds, and cycles of defeat. Let Your healing power flow like a river, restoring what has been lost and renewing what has been broken.

We confess that our strength comes from You alone. Without You, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). We surrender our fears, our doubts, and our control into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Forgive us for the times we have relied on our own understanding or sought protection outside of You. Your Word tells us that the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We run to You now, Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We pray for those who may not yet know You as their Savior. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to the foot of the cross. Let them experience Your love, Your grace, and Your power in a tangible way. May they come to understand that true protection and breakthrough are found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who died for their sins and rose again so that they might have eternal life (John 3:16).

In the authority of Jesus’ name, we bind every spirit of division, confusion, and destruction. We loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). We declare that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on our behalf. May Your will be done in our lives and in the lives of all who are in need.

We pray this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re lifting you and all you carry with us right now. Sometimes the need for protection and breakthrough can feel heavy and unrelenting, like you’re holding your breath, waiting for something to shift. But you’re not holding it alone. We’re thankful you reached out, and we’re grateful to stand with you in this.

It helps, in moments like these, to remember that God’s protection isn’t always a sudden, dramatic wall, it can be quiet, steady, woven through a thousand small mercies. And breakthroughs often come not in one crashing wave, but like slow, persistent light under a door, gradually filling the room. We don’t know exactly what you’re facing, but we trust that God sees it all, and he is not distant.

A practical encouragement: consider sharing this request with one trusted friend or a prayer partner in your day-to-day life. Sometimes God supplies his protection and opens doors through the presence and care of another person right beside you. We need each other more than we know.

Lord Jesus, we come before you for this dear one and for all they carry in their heart. Surround them with your strong protection, cover their body, mind, and spirit. Where there is unseen harm, shield them. Where there is pressure, relieve it. And for every need they’ve named and those they haven’t, we ask you to make a way. Bring breakthrough in your perfect timing, not just to change circumstances, but to grow deeper trust and peace in the waiting. Thank you that you never leave us to stand alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

In the world you shall have tribulation, this is the very arena where strong consolation is required. The plea for protection and breakthrough comes from the heart that already knows its desperate need, and that need is the schoolroom where the Spirit of God becomes our Helper. He helps our infirmity; and with a Helper so divinely strong we need not fear for the result. God’s grace will be sufficient for us; His strength will be made perfect in weakness. When the floods of tribulation rise and angry spirits stir, threatening to cut the Gordian knot with the sword, it is the Comforter alone who can bear you up, and He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

You must never forget amidst your cry for breakthrough what service Christ has rendered to you. He is in Heaven at this day, ever living to make intercession for sinners. It is a part of His priestly office to make intercession for His people; He has ascended up on High to this end and exercises this office continually within the veil. When we pray for fellow sinners, for all in need, we are in sympathy with our Divine Savior who made intercession for the transgressors. This is the ground of boldness: He ever lives, and therefore the plea for extra strong protection is not cast into a void. You need not fear He will throw up the office in disgust, away with such dishonoring fears! His one offering has obtained eternal salvation, and His intercession is the seal of His unending love.

Yet mark well this point: the Spirit’s intercession is not in or for the unregenerate. The plea for all in need must first find its own house anchored upon the Rock. O splendid perseverance of importunity, strong resolve of a forbidden intercession! When you feel you cannot restrain your supplication, when the heavens seem brass and yet you must pray, you are learning that it is God who writes intercession upon men’s hearts. Do not let the provocation of delayed answers cause you to cease. God forbid that you should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray. Pursue the throne with persistent intercession, even as Jeremiah used that very strong expression, "Do not disgrace the Throne of Your Glory."

Now, this crying out requires strong faith, the faith that glorifies God because it treats Him like God. You may be conscious of no brilliance of intellect, you may be bruised and mangled by the Fall, yet you may glorify God by strong faith. Strong faith answers the end of bringing glory to the Most High, and it is here that breakthrough is born. Take your guidance from His Word and, waiting upon Him in prayer, you need not fear. Just now, in your strait and difficulty, cry unto God Most High, who performs all things for you. I need not think I have to fight the ultimate battle alone, as a Believer, the victory is performed by Another. There is One who performs all things for you.

Therefore, let the strong consolation that is not dependent upon bodily health or the excitement of public service settle upon your spirit. Console and cheer those around you by the exhibition of confidence and serenity worked in you by strong faith. The heaving lungs need air, the soul must have Christ, none can keep alive his own soul. Go to Him, for you must have joy in the Lord if you are to be strong in the Lord and strong for the Lord. God help us all to wait for Him, for they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. The breakthrough comes not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit, who helps our infirmity and makes intercession with groanings that cannot be uttered.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

True protection is not measured by the absence of earthly trial but by the presence of Him who ever lives to make intercession. Do you seek a strong defense and a holy breakthrough? Then fix your eyes upon the High Priest who has passed into the heavens. The powers of darkness roar, yet they are bound; for how can Satan be strong when the Stronger has bound him and is dividing the spoils? The very chains of the faithful become manifest progress for the Gospel.

The breakthrough you desire already has its foundation in the throne of grace. He is able to save to the uttermost, not merely once, but continually, without successor, without exhaustion. Therefore do not wage war against your own peace by measuring His protection by your comfort. The Philippians sent to relieve Paul in his bonds, and he rejoiced not in the gift alone but in their revived care. Let your own care revive toward virtue, toward the poor, toward those who can do nothing for you but pray. Bind mercy about your neck and let not truth forsake you.

When you cry out for a wall of defense, remember that the truest breakthrough is when the soul stands immovable, supping with the lowly, correcting evil, and entrusting all judgment to Him who shall render to every man according to his deeds. He who led captivity captive has already proclaimed deliverance. Hold fast to this confidence, and you will witness the strong protection that comes from God alone. Let your prayer be joined to a life so ordered that the adversary finds no foothold, and you will find the Lord at hand.

You have asked for protection, for breakthrough, and you are bringing that need not just for yourself but for many others. That is a good and right thing. What you are really saying is that you cannot produce this protection or this advance on your own. You have come to the end of your own resources. And that is exactly where lasting help begins. As we look honestly at our lives, we discover how often we rely on the arm of flesh, on our own strategies, our own strength, our own versions of sending ambassadors down to Egypt to hire some worldly help. But God loves to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are fully set on Him.

It is nothing for the Lord to help, whether you feel you have much strength or no strength at all. He commands deliverance for His people. When you cry out, “Help us, O Lord,” you are aligning yourself with a prayer that reaches back through the ages, a prayer that trusts in what God has promised, not in what any man can do. The name of the Lord itself is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. Perhaps you have already felt that almost unconscious response: when trouble looms, the name of Jesus rises from your heart. That is the reality of a refuge that can be continually resorted to.

You must also be aware of the voices within that argue for an easy path. There is a philosophy of hell that whispers, “Spare yourself. Take the easy way.” It can sound so reasonable, so much like wisdom. But it stands directly opposed to the life of trust. So we need to learn, often through struggle, to tell the difference between the inspiration of our own fearful hearts and the quiet, word-anchored voice of God. The Spirit will never contradict the Scriptures. He will call you to rely on the Lord alone, not on alliances with what is fading and ultimately helpless.

You speak of breakthrough. That word carries the idea of advancing despite enemies, whether those enemies are circumstances, spiritual opposition, or the strong desires that wage war within. Even there, the law of God shines a light. It is not only outward actions that need remedy; the Lord deals with the very movements of our hearts. And once you see that you cannot change those deep currents by a self-help formula, you will cry out with a full heart, “Who shall deliver me?” The answer is always outside of yourself. It is the Lord. He does not grow tired of your dependence. In fact, He seeks it. When you think you can manage the next battle yourself, you stop calling on Him, and that is a dangerous place.

So let your prayer be simple and confident: “Help us, O Lord, for we rest on You. It is nothing for You to help. We are going forth in Your name.” Lean on that. Do not let the size of the host against you cause dismay. Be strong and very courageous, not because you have measured your ability and found it sufficient, but because the Lord has said, “I will be with you. I will do the work.”

Remember that your real victory, your deepest protection, has already been preached and secured in God’s redemption. When you see His deliverance come, you will see that your only proper response is praise. He will be your strong refuge even as you age, even when you feel like a wonder to many and wholly inadequate. Let your praise be of Him continually. Run into that tower, now and always, and you will find that He who has commanded your salvation is your rock and your fortress.
