Protection

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for protection and breakthrough not only for ourselves but for all who are in desperate need. Heavenly Father, You are our refuge and fortress, a very present help in times of trouble. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we stand on Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we ask for an extra measure of Your divine protection to surround us like a shield.

We pray for breakthrough, Lord, for we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Break every chain of oppression, sickness, fear, and lack that is holding Your people captive. Let Your light shine in the darkest places, and let Your glory be revealed in mighty ways. We rebuke every spirit of delay, confusion, and stagnation in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth (Philippians 2:10).

Father, we also lift up those who may not yet know You or have drifted away from Your presence. We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the peace and protection that only comes from a relationship with You.

We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair, and we loose the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your angels encamp around those who fear You and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). We declare that no evil shall befall us, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to trust in You with all our hearts, leaning not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your mighty power to protect, deliver, and bring breakthrough. May Your will be done in our lives and in the lives of all who are in need. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for carrying this concern for protection and breakthrough, not only for yourselves but for so many others in need. That kind of heart is a gift, and it makes a real difference. When we face times that call for extra-strong protection, we often find that standing together in prayer multiplies our confidence, not because we’re more eloquent, but because we’re not alone. The simple knowledge that others are actively praying with us can anchor us when things feel uncertain.

If you haven’t already, consider inviting a few trusted friends or a small group from your church to focus on this request with you this week. Even a brief text or a shared prayer after a service can help you feel the weight of being surrounded in prayer. And as you continue to lift up “all in need,” you’re doing the same for them, carrying them before the throne of grace.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your powerful protection over these dear ones and every person they’re carrying on their hearts. Place a hedge around them that no darkness can penetrate. Bring breakthrough where there have been long-standing walls, breakthrough in minds, in circumstances, and in faith. Give them quiet confidence that You are fighting for them even when they can’t see it. Surround them with Your peace that goes beyond understanding, and hold them steady. In Your mighty name we pray, Amen.

The cry for protection and breakthrough rises from a heart that knows its frailty, and that is well, for the Lord looks upon such with tender pity. It is written, "He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways," yet mark well the condition, thy ways must be those appointed of God. Wait for divine guidance; it is far better to stand still than to run in the wrong road. Pause and pray for direction, do not move until thou hearest the voice behind thee saying, "This is the way; walk ye in it." In such a road, angels will certainly guard thee.

Earnest prayer is the very key which opens the treasury of heaven. Think not that a cold asking will avail, I beseech you, agonize with one another in prayer to God. The prayer that prevails is not that which foams itself away in words, but that which, with humble boldness, cuts a channel even through a rock of difficulty. Cry, "Lord, help me!" as the woman of Canaan did, with importunity that will not be denied. It is a prayer for every place, a prayer for everybody, a prayer to die with, and a prayer to live with. It fits the direst need and the smallest trial alike.

Yet what is the great protection of our faith? Nothing less than the intercession of our Saviour. Before the temptation comes, He hath already prayed for us. He knows His people with a peculiar knowledge, and His prayers come from His inmost soul. He pleads not for our removal out of the world, but that we may be kept from the evil while we tarry. It is for our own good, that we might be made like Him; for the world’s benefit, that we might bring others in; and for His own glory, that His grace may be displayed in our steadfastness. Even now He points to His riven side and says, "I have prayed for them."

Seek, then, not merely to be shielded, but to be revived and made alive at the highest point of life. Look back upon former mercies, hath He not covered all thy sin, hid it from His sight, and restored the joy of His salvation? Let that remembrance stir thee to ask with Daniel, "Cause Thy face to shine upon Thy sanctuary; O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do." True prayer will prove its sincerity by setting hands to work and feet to run in the service of God’s people.

Stand firmly in Christ alone. Christ’s blood is our only hope; the Spirit’s work, our only life. The dry tree by grace shall flourish, while the green tree, proud in its own strength, shall wither. Therefore, let none among you lean upon your own righteousness, but cleave to the cross as to a hook of steel. So shall you be safe, and the God of peace shall be with you. The Son’s ear is ever open; even before your prayer is fully formed, the kiss of pardon and the ring of sonship are ready. Only believe, and thou shalt see the breakthrough which cometh from the right hand of God.

The Lord grant thee to prove that for every need there is a promise, and for every promise there is a faithful Promiser. Let thy prayer be, "Put life into me, Lord, Thy life, the Divine life," and He will do it according to His word.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for extra strong protection and breakthrough for yourselves and all in need. It is good that you turn to God in your trouble, for He alone is the stronghold of the afflicted. But let us consider what true protection means, lest we seek only comfort for the body and neglect the safety of the soul.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has won the greatest breakthrough of all. He has gone up on high, leading captivity captive, and He preaches deliverance to those who are bound. If you are in Christ, you already share in that victory. The strong soldier of Christ not only guards himself but also frees his comrades from the snares of the enemy. And how does he do this? By heeding the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit has given them as a sure defense, yet many do not even know they exist. If you would be protected, immerse yourself in God's Word. There you will find the promises that anchor the soul when the storm rages.

Do not imagine that God's care means He will always spare you from hardship. He does not promise deliverance from death; He gives something far greater, the power to despise death and to stand firm in trial. He permits tribulation to teach us humble-mindedness, that we may not be exalted overmuch, and to show His strength in our weakness. The apostle Paul was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, yet he learned that God's grace is sufficient. So when you pray for protection, pray first for the grace to endure, and trust that the Father, who is a righteous Judge and longsuffering, will not test you beyond what you can bear.

Many ask for breakthrough but grow impatient when relief does not come at once. Remember Abraham: after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. God even condescended to swear by Himself to give us strong consolation. Take hold of that hope set before you. The Will of God orders all things; Paul sought a prosperous journey only by that Will, desiring to be refreshed with the brethren. So you, too, must say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” True breakthrough is not merely the removal of obstacles, but the advance of the soul into deeper fellowship with Christ.

Beware of the insensibility of those who say, “Peace and safety,” while sudden destruction looms. In the days of Noah, they ate, drank, and married, until the flood swept them away. Do not measure God's favor by outward ease. Rather, examine your conscience. The one who is conscious of no evil before God suffers no ultimate harm. He who walks in the light of Christ abides in safety. If you are separated from sin and clinging to the Savior, you need not fear. The very sufferings that seem to threaten you become the path to refreshment, as Paul longed to come to the Romans with joy.

So let your prayer for protection be this: that you may be kept from the evil one, that you may not fall into deception, and that you may stand complete in all the will of God. Ask for breakthrough against the spiritual forces that wage war against your faith. Then, whether you are weak or strong in the eyes of the world, you will be truly strong in the Lord, and He will bring you at last to that eternal safety where no enemy can enter.

The cry for protection and breakthrough rises from a heart that knows where true safety lies. It is no small thing to ask for God’s own covering, because in Scripture that covering is never passive. Think of the tabernacle, layer upon layer stretched over the place where God would meet His people: fine linen, then goats’ hair, then ram skins dyed red. Every thread spoke of shelter and separation from the wilderness outside. Inside that tent, the ark held the testimony of His covenant, and the mercy seat became the throne from which He ruled and forgave. To ask for His protection is to ask to dwell within that tent, hidden under the shadow of His wings, as the psalmist said: He who lives in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. That is the strongest possible covering, and it is yours in Christ.

Breakthrough often looks less like an immediate parting of the sea and more like the quiet, steady strength of a bow held at full draw. Real strength is not in the panic of a flying arrow but in the calm resolution not to act in fear or vengeance, because your hands are being held by the mighty God of Jacob. When David was trapped and bloodthirsty men closed in, he discovered that God Himself became his citadel, his strong tower, his refuge. He did not need to scramble for his own deliverance because his expectation was from God alone. The same Lord who overthrew the Egyptians in the Red Sea will not let your enemies rejoice over you. He is the Lord, the strength of your life. Of whom shall you be afraid? Even when gray hairs multiply and natural strength fades, the promise holds: I will go in the strength of the Lord God. He will give strength to His people; He will bless His people with peace.

So let your prayer rise not only for your own household but for all who are in need. The arm of the Lord is not shortened, and the covering He spreads over you is also a covering of honor and safety, like the veil that signified protection in ancient days. He does not sleep. Though there are seasons when it seems He is silent, He is working a deeper deliverance, teaching you to trust in the steady bow rather than in frantic arrows of self-rescue. May He keep you and those you love beneath that strong covering. May His word become your strength and your portion. And may you know, even now, the saving strength of His anointed, until the day dawns and every battle is forever behind you.
