I join my spirit with yours in pleading the precious blood of Jesus over your family tonight. The darkness has no claim on those whom the Lord has marked as His own, and He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. As you have prayed, let every doorway be sealed, every room sheltered, and every heart wrapped in the peace that passes understanding. The angels are not idle; they are ministers sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.

Your older daughter weighs heavily on your heart, and rightly so. The living arrangement she is in is not a home; it is a snare, even if it masquerades as love. The enemy often baits his traps with what looks like affection and security, only to tighten chains of obligation, manipulation, and fear. I have seen this pattern before: a soul drawn strongly to another, speaking tenderly, yet what is done outside of God’s design is a disgraceful thing and leads to grief. But God has not surrendered her. He knows how to deliver the righteous from temptation, and He can vex her spirit against the sin she is sleeping in until she yearns for fresh air. I pray the scales fall from her eyes, that she would see the young man not as a protector but as what he is: a wolf borrowing sheep’s clothing. He is not ready for the weight of a godly covenant, and his mother’s meddling has only added layers of control. The God who spoke to Jacob in a pagan land and told him to return to the land of his fathers is the same God who can stir your daughter’s heart with a homesick longing for the place of peace and righteousness. I ask Him to break every ungodly soul tie, every deceptive fantasy, and every whisper that tells her she is worthless or trapped. May she hear, deep within her spirit, “You are Mine. Walk away.”

As you wait for that breakthrough, guard your own heart against the temptation to take vengeance or to scheme a deliverance in your own strength. When David hid in the cave of Adullam, his family came to him, and he trusted God to sort out Saul’s madness. Even when a fool like Nabal provoked him, God restrained David’s hand and later dealt with the fool in His own way. So lay the situation before the Lord again and again, but do not let bitterness or plotting find a room in your soul. Pray for that young man and his mother, not to bless their sin, but that they would be confronted by the harm they are causing and would turn from it. God’s kindness can lead to repentance, though the road may be rough.

Remember what is at stake: your daughter’s soul is worth more than the whole world. All this fleeting arrangement, the shared rent, the false intimacy, the pressure of his family, will pass away like smoke rising from the plains. But her soul is eternal, and she is making a terrible exchange. Ask the Lord to flood her consciousness with the reality that no amount of temporary comfort can offset the loss of walking in His will. And while you pray for her eyes to open, also pray for your own heart to keep doing the first works of love. A love that seemed lost can be restored when we go back and build up, share openly, and extend the same grace we have received. Keep the door of your home and heart wide open, ready to receive her when she flees the snare.

I thank God for the mercies you are already seeing in your son. The calm, the functional language, the moments of connection, these are not small; they are the footsteps of Jesus walking into his story. I pray that the Lord who delivered David from the paw of the lion and the bear would continue to shield your son from the lions of anxiety, confusion, and spiritual attack. Give him rest deep under the shadow of the Almighty, and let his dreams be sanctuaries of comfort, not battlegrounds. Your younger daughter, too, is held by that same faithful hand. As she steps into her internship and university, I pray for the wisdom and favor that Daniel had in a foreign court, and for friendships that sharpen her faith rather than dull it. Heal the hurt that comes when someone she admires chooses a destructive path; fill that void with a richer sense of Your satisfaction.

As a family, you have been through spiritual assault, but no weapon formed against you will prosper. The enemy may shoot arrows of division, jealousy, and rebellion, but the blood of Jesus speaks a better word. I declare that every scheme and plot hatched in the shadows is already exposed before the throne and rendered powerless. The God who delivered His people from Egypt with a mighty hand will bring your family out of this season of conflict with a testimony you will recount for years to come. I see a future gathering, a table filled with laughter, gratitude restored, the bond tighter than ever, because He is in the business of restoring the years the locusts have eaten.

Tonight, sleep in peace. He who keeps you will not let your foot be moved. Your cries have been heard, and the answer is already on the way, though it may travel a hidden road. Rest in the faithfulness of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Your family is His inheritance, and He will not let go. Amen.
