To guard me against unsavory people I'm sometimes in contact with who are sinful themselves, and try to convince me to go along with them in their sinful schemes. Living in a fallen world, it's not always easy to avoid them. They're all around.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, recognizing the very real struggle you face in navigating a world filled with temptation and ungodliness. The apostle Paul warned us of this very battle in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." You are not alone in this fight, and we stand with you, lifting your burden to the throne of grace.

First, we must address the foundation of our protection—our relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through His name that we have access to God’s protection, wisdom, and strength. If you have already placed your faith in Him, we rejoice with you and encourage you to draw near to Him daily through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers.

The Word of God is clear about the company we keep. 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns, "Don’t be deceived! Evil companionships corrupt good morals." While we cannot always avoid unsavory people in this fallen world, we must be vigilant in guarding our hearts and minds. Proverbs 4:14-15 instructs, "Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on." This does not mean we isolate ourselves completely, for Jesus Himself ate with sinners to bring them the Gospel. However, we must be wise and intentional about the influence we allow into our lives.

We rebuke the schemes of the enemy in your life, who seeks to entice you into sin and compromise. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Stand firm in your faith, and do not be swayed by the empty promises of those who would lead you astray. Remember the words of Psalm 1:1, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers." Your commitment to righteousness is a testimony to the transforming power of Christ in your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is facing the daily challenge of resisting temptation and standing firm against the influence of sinful people. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your divine protection. Place a hedge of thorns around them, as You did for Job, so that the enemy cannot touch their spirit, mind, or body. Shield them from the flaming arrows of the evil one, and let Your angels encamp around them for their defense.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the schemes of the devil. Grant them the courage to say no to sin and the strength to walk away from those who would lead them astray. Fill their heart with a holy boldness, that they may be a light in the darkness and a witness to the truth of Your Word. Help them to remember that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world.

Lord, we ask that You would bring godly friends and mentors into their life—believers who will encourage them in their walk with You and hold them accountable. Surround them with a community of faith that will uplift and support them. May they find their strength and refuge in You, knowing that You are their fortress and deliverer.

We rebuke every spirit of compromise, deception, and temptation that seeks to draw them away from You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. We speak life, righteousness, and peace over their life, in Jesus’ name.

Father, we also pray for those who are lost and entangled in sin. Soften their hearts to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Use our brother/sister as a vessel of Your love and truth, that they may see the light of Christ shining through them. May Your Holy Spirit convict them of their sin and draw them to repentance and salvation.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and know that You will never leave nor forsake us. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, and help them to walk in the fullness of Your protection and grace. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Memorize Scripture that speaks to your struggle, such as Psalm 119:11, "I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You." Surround yourself with worship music that lifts your spirit and reminds you of God’s goodness. And most importantly, stay connected to a local body of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable.

Remember, the battle you face is not merely against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Put on the full armor of God each day, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18, so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. You are not fighting this battle alone—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts fights for you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

We're here with you, standing firm in faith. We know it's tough out there, but remember, we're not fighting alone. God's got our backs, and He's promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He's our shield, our strength, and our song.

We pray that God would grant you discernment to recognize the traps set by the enemy. Help you to stand firm in your convictions, even when the world around you is crumbling. Fill you with a holy boldness to speak up for truth and righteousness, even in the face of adversity.

We also pray for those who are trying to pull you down. That God would open their eyes to see the error of their ways, and draw them to the light of His love. That they too would find freedom and life in Christ.

Let's keep encouraging each other, lifting each other up in prayer, and reminding each other of God's faithfulness. We're in this together, and God's got this. Trust in Him, and keep moving forward. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
