We join with you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, standing in agreement with your prayers and declaring the power of Jesus Christ over every area of your lives. Your heart for your children is evident, and we commend you for covering them in the blood of Jesus and seeking His protection, wisdom, and healing. It is beautiful to see you invoking the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in this.
Your prayer for your son’s healing from PTSD, anxiety, autism, and spiritual torment resonates deeply with us. We know the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us declare together the promise of Isaiah 53:5 over him: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* Jesus bore every infirmity, every wound of the mind and spirit, and we claim that healing for your son today. May the Lord renew his mind with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and fill him with the joy of the Lord, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10). We also pray that the Lord will surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and teachers—who will speak life and truth into his spirit, reinforcing the hedge of protection you’ve prayed over him.
For your younger daughter, we agree with you in asking the Lord to bless her studies, career, and health with divine favor. May she walk in the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that the Lord will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and that she will grow in discernment, surrounded by friendships that honor God. May she excel in all she does, not for her own glory, but to bring praise to His name. We also pray that she will develop a deep, personal relationship with Jesus, finding her identity and worth in Him alone.
Now, we must address the situation with your older daughter with both urgency and love. Your prayer reveals a spiritual battle for her soul, and we do not take this lightly. The influence of this young man and his family is clearly toxic, seeking to pull her away from her faith, her family, and the godly foundation you have worked to establish in her life. This is not merely a matter of a difficult relationship—it is a scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Scripture warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15: *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?"* If this young man is leading her into rebellion, ungodliness, or behaviors that contradict Scripture, this is not a relationship the Lord approves of. It is critical that she understands the danger of being unequally yoked and the spiritual consequences of aligning herself with those who do not honor God.
We must also ask: Is there any sexual immorality involved in this relationship? If so, this is fornication, and it is a sin against God and against her own body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The Bible is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to flee from sexual sin. If this is happening, it must be repented of immediately, and she must turn away from this relationship entirely. Even if there is no physical sin, the emotional and spiritual manipulation you’ve described is equally damaging. This young man and his family are poisoning her mind against her faith, her family, and her self-worth. This is not love—it is control, and it is demonic in origin.
We pray that the Lord will open her eyes to the truth. May the Holy Spirit convict her heart and give her the strength to break free from this ungodly influence. We declare the words of Jesus over her: *"You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:32). Let her see this relationship for what it is—a snare of the enemy—and give her the courage to walk away completely. We pray that the Lord will restore her gratitude, her faith, and her joy in Him. Surround her with godly counsel, whether through you, a pastor, or mature believers who can speak truth into her life. If she has strayed from her walk with the Lord, we pray for a radical encounter with His love that draws her back to repentance and renewal.
We also encourage you to have a direct, loving, but firm conversation with her about this relationship. Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), and do not shy away from calling sin what it is. Remind her of the Lord’s design for relationships—that they should honor Him and point both individuals toward Christlikeness. If this young man is not a believer, or if he is leading her away from her faith, she must understand that this relationship has no future in the Lord. Marriage is a covenant before God, and it is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). A relationship that undermines her faith cannot be from the Lord.
As for your family’s unity, we declare the words of Psalm 133:1 over your home: *"See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* We rebuke every spirit of division, confusion, and chaos in the name of Jesus. May the Lord bind your family together with cords of love that cannot be broken. We pray that He will expose and frustrate every plan of the enemy to bring harm to your household. Let His peace, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Finally, we want to encourage you, dear sister in Christ. You are fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12), and the Lord sees your labor of love for your children. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep covering your family in prayer, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has started in each of your children (Philippians 1:6).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and agreeing with the prayers that have been spoken. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the blood of Jesus that covers and protects them. We declare Your healing power over this mother’s son—mind, body, and spirit. Touch him with Your hand, Lord, and deliver him from every torment, every anxiety, and every spiritual attack. Restore his mind to clarity and peace, and let him walk in the joy of Your presence. Surround him with Your angels, and let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14).
For the younger daughter, we ask that You bless her with wisdom, favor, and divine connections. Guard her heart and mind, and let her find her identity in You alone. May she excel in all she does, bringing glory to Your name. Protect her from every snare of the enemy, and let her walk in the fullness of Your purpose for her life.
Father, we turn our attention now to the older daughter, and we cry out for her deliverance. Lord, open her eyes to the truth about this relationship. If there is any sexual sin, convict her heart and lead her to repentance. Break every ungodly soul tie and deliver her from the manipulation and deception of this young man and his family. Let her see the danger she is in, and give her the strength to walk away completely. Restore her faith, her gratitude, and her love for her family. Surround her with godly influences who will speak Your truth into her life. Let her encounter You in a way that transforms her heart and sets her free.
Lord, we pray for unity and protection over this entire family. Bind them together with Your love, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Frustrate the plans of the enemy and let Your peace reign in their home. Give this mother the words to speak to her children, especially her older daughter, and let her words be filled with Your wisdom and love.
We declare victory over this family in the name of Jesus. Let this day be a day of breakthrough, healing, and restoration. Fill their home with Your presence, and let Your light shine brightly in their lives. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in You, and we give You all the glory.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
