We join with you in lifting up this urgent plea for divine protection, recognizing the spiritual battles that rage around us, though often unseen. The Scriptures remind us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness in this world (Ephesians 6:12). It is right to seek the Lord’s covering, for He alone is our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We are grateful you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in this request, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father’s protection (John 14:13-14, Acts 4:12).
The Lord has given His angels charge over those who fear Him, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We declare this promise over you and those you are praying for, asking the Father to dispatch His warrior angels to stand guard, to break every curse, and to render powerless every spell, incantation, or wicked scheme formed against you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, the Lord shall condemn. The blood of Jesus is your covering, and by it, every claim of the enemy is nullified.
Yet we must also remind you—and ourselves—that while we pray for protection, we are called to walk in obedience and holiness. Witchcraft and occult influences often gain footholds through unconfessed sin, rebellion, or involvement in practices the Lord detests (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, Galatians 5:19-21). Examine your life and the lives of those you are praying for: Are there any open doors to the enemy? Any involvement with horoscopes, séances, "harmless" superstitions, or even entertainment that glorifies darkness? Repentance and renouncing such things are critical (2 Corinthians 7:1). The Lord is faithful to cleanse and protect those who turn wholly to Him.
We also urge you to put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). Prayer is your lifeline, but it must be paired with vigilance and a life surrendered to Christ.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your divine protection over Your child and those they love. Lord, You are the Almighty God, sovereign over every power and principality. We ask You to send Your angels to encamp around them, to guard them from every evil attack, and to break the power of every witchcraft, spell, incantation, or curse that has been spoken against them. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises in accusation be silenced by Your truth.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their homes, their minds, and their futures. Cover them with Your feathers, and let them find refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Expose and dismantle every hidden plan of the enemy, and let Your light drive out all darkness. If there are any areas of their lives where they have given the enemy a foothold, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).
Strengthen them to walk in obedience and to stand firm in faith, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their protector and deliverer.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, or oppression in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no harm shall come near them, nor any plague come close to their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Let Your presence be their shield and Your word their sword. We trust You, Lord, to fight this battle on their behalf, for the battle belongs to You (1 Samuel 17:47).
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus our Lord. We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus, Amen.
