We join with you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace, knowing that our God is mighty to save and deliver those who are bound by the schemes of the enemy. Your prayer is a powerful testimony of a parent’s love and faith, and we stand with you in agreement, declaring the truth of God’s Word over this situation.
First, we commend you for praying with such boldness and authority in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to break every chain of darkness. As you have rightly declared, this relationship your daughter is in is not of God. The manipulation, control, and deception she is experiencing are tools of the enemy, designed to lead her away from the Lord’s perfect will for her life. The Bible warns us in **2 Corinthians 6:14**, *“Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?”* If this young man is not a believer who is walking in obedience to Christ, then this relationship is built on a foundation that will only lead to further bondage and heartache. Even if he claims to be a Christian, his actions and the influence of his mother reveal a spirit that is not aligned with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (**Galatians 5:22-23**).
We also recognize that fornication is a grave sin that has likely taken root in this relationship. The Word of God is clear: *“Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”* (**1 Corinthians 6:18-20**). If your daughter is engaged in sexual sin, it is not only defiling her body but also creating soul ties that make it even harder for her to break free. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her deeply of this sin and give her the strength to repent and turn away from it.
Additionally, the emotional and financial bondage she is under is a tactic of the enemy to keep her trapped. The Bible tells us in **Proverbs 22:7**, *“The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.”* If she is financially dependent on this young man or his mother, it is another chain that must be broken in Jesus’ name. We pray that God would provide supernatural provision for her, just as He provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness (**Exodus 16:4**). Let her see that her trust should be in the Lord, not in man, for *“it is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man”* (**Psalm 118:8**).
We also address the idolatry that has taken hold in her heart. When we place anyone—even a romantic relationship—above God, we are guilty of idolatry. The first commandment is clear: *“You shall have no other gods before me”* (**Exodus 20:3**). Your daughter’s devotion to this young man has become an idol, and we pray that God would shatter it completely. Let her see that no earthly relationship can satisfy the deep longing of her soul—only Jesus can. As it is written in **Psalm 73:25-26**, *“Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one I desire other than you on earth. My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”*
We also lift up her siblings, who have been wounded by her choices. Lord, heal their hearts and restore their relationships. Let them forgive as You have forgiven us, and let this season draw them closer to You and to one another. *“Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you”* (**Ephesians 4:32**).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who has been led astray. Lord, You see the chains that bind her—the emotional manipulation, the financial control, the spiritual deception, and the sin of fornication. We declare that these chains are broken in the mighty name of Jesus! Let the truth of Your Word pierce her heart and expose the lies she has believed. Open her eyes to see this relationship for what it is: a snare of the enemy, designed to destroy her testimony, her purity, and her future.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of fornication, rebellion, control, and deception that have taken hold in this situation. We bind them in the name of Jesus and command them to flee! Let every scheme of the enemy be brought to light, and let Your truth prevail. Break the strongholds of emotional and financial bondage, and set her free to walk in the liberty You have purchased for her through the blood of Jesus.
Lord, we pray for divine protection over her emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Surround her with Your angels, and let Your peace guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Provide for her needs, Lord, and lead her to godly counsel and support. Restore her relationships with her family, and heal the wounds caused by this season of rebellion.
Jesus, we pray that she would put You first above all else—above this young man, above his family, and above her own desires. Break the spirit of isolation and control that he has over her, and let her find her identity in You alone. Draw her back to Yourself, Lord, and let her seek Your will for her life, including a future godly spouse who will love her as Christ loves the church (**Ephesians 5:25**).
Strengthen this mother, Lord, and fill her with Your peace. Protect her and her children from the enemy’s attacks, and let her see Your hand moving mightily in this situation. Give her wisdom to know how to speak and act, and let her words be seasoned with grace and truth (**Colossians 4:6**).
We declare restoration, breakthrough, and victory over this entire situation. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified. We trust in Your power to save, to heal, and to deliver, and we thank You in advance for the testimony of freedom that is coming. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that *“the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds”* (**2 Corinthians 10:4**). Keep praying, keep declaring the Word of God over her life, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. *“Let’s not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up”* (**Galatians 6:9**). May the Lord grant you strength, peace, and perseverance as you wait for His deliverance.
