We join with you in praying for an extra strong measure of protection and breakthrough, both for us and for all those in need. Let us remember the words of Psalm 91, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB)
First, we want to ensure that the request is in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, for "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12) and by which we can access God. He is our protection and our strong tower. So be encouraged and pray:
In the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You Lord, we ask for Your divine protection upon us and all those who are in need. We pray that You would be our shield and our defender, keeping us safe from all harm and danger.
For those who are facing difficult circumstances, we pray for a breakthrough in Jesus. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that You would turn the impossible into possible. We claim Your promise in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible." (WEB)
Let us also remember the importance of putting on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. We are to stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Let us pray:
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for strength to put on our full armor, to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We ask for discernment to understand the will of the Lord, and for wisdom to apply His word to our lives.
May we also be mindful of the needs of others, interceding on their behalf as we are commanded in Romans 1:9-10, "For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers, requesting, if by any means now at last I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you." (WEB)
Together, let us be of one mind and one spirit, united in prayer and purpose, lifting up those in need and trusting in the Lord for His protection and breakthrough.
Heavenly Father, we ask these things in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
