We stand with you in prayer, pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over you and your family. We agree with you for peace, protection, and harmony in your home, and we trust that God will bring restoration and unity.
We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 14:27 WEB: Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
First, we praise God that you have acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus and have prayed in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We pray that God will surround your family with His ministering angels and a hedge of protection, and that He will saturate your home with peace, joy, and love that surpasses all understanding, as it says in Philippians 4:7 WEB: And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Regarding your daughter's relationship, we must address that living together outside of marriage is considered fornication, which is sinful and not God's will. God's design for intimacy and cohabitation is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. In fact, God tells us what true love looks like in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB: Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
We also find that Ephesians 5:6-11 WEB: says: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. Therefore don’t be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is well pleasing to the Lord. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
We pray that your daughter will see that this relationship is not aligned with God's will and that she will find the strength and courage to leave it. We pray that she will move back home swiftly and that God will restore her genuine personality.
We pray that God will open her eyes to the manipulation, control, and ungodly influences she is under, and that He will give her discernment and wisdom to make godly choices. We agree with you for God to block this young man, his family, and all negative influences from your family.
We pray that your daughter will put Jesus first in her life again and that God will bless her with godly friendships and relationships that align with His will. We pray that God will restore your home with peace, love, respect, joy, and happiness.
We are reminded of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB: if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Please know that we are here to support and encourage you in your faith journey. We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your family, and to trust that He is working all things together for your good, as it says in Romans 8:28 WEB: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
In the meantime, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to be strong and courageous, and to trust that God is with you every step of the way. As we read in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB: Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
