We join you in seeking God's protection and guidance. We are reminded in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won't strike your foot against a stone."
Firstly, let us remember the source of our protection. It is God Almighty who protects us. This is made possible through His son Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."" It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and His protection.
In these troubled times, we need His guidance and protection more than ever. We also need the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:"
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this beloved individual who seeks Your protection and guidance. We pray that You will surround them with Your angelic hosts, guarding them in all their ways. Guide their steps, Lord, and help them walk in Your truth and love.
We pray especially for their spiritual protection. We ask for your guidance and for your hedge around them. We know all attacks are spiritual first. We pray that any physical attacks or persecution would be rendered powerless and foolish by Your spiritual protection.
Give them discernment, wisdom and understanding. Help them to walk in righteousness and to put on the full armor of God daily. As they go through each day, help them to be strong in You, Lord, and in Your mighty power. They are Yours, Lord, and we ask that You protect what is Yours.
We ask this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and can approach Your throne boldly and with confidence that You will hear and answer.
Let them not forget the words of Romans 8:38 WEB, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
It is only by His name, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You and Your guidance and protection, Father.
We join with the Apostle Paul in praying, "For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, 19 and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:14-21 WEB).
