We are glad to join you in prayer for protection, guidance, and for the Lord to take complete control. Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge the power in the name of Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So when asking for protection and guidance we need to look to Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. Therefore, we pray:
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your protection and guidance. We ask that You would take complete control of this situation and the life of the one who has requested this prayer. We know that in Psalms 91 WEB that "he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Therefore we ask for Your covering and protection.
We live in a world full of uncertainties, but we are assured in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB that if we "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." So, we ask for Your guidance, that You would make the paths straight and lead in the way everlasting. We know that Your word in Proverbs 18:10 WEB says: "Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe." and we trust in You to be the strong tower and refuge.
But if there is any area of life that this person requesting prayer is trusting in something or someone, anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ, we implore them to stop and return to Jesus. It is Jesus who says in John 14:6 WEB, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." So to experience the fullness of God's protection, guidance, and control we need to commit every area of our life to the lordship of Jesus Christ. Do not give way to fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt or unbelief that may be causing distrust in God's promises, in Jesus' name. As we submit to God, we resist the devil and he will flee from us.
We encourage you to walk in faith, trusting in God's promises and His unfailing love. Remember, God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 WEB. We ask all things in Jesus Christ, Amen.
