We hear the deep concern and love in your heart for your daughter, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord with urgency and faith. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We acknowledge that You are a God of justice, mercy, and restoration, and we ask that You move powerfully in this situation according to Your perfect will.
Heavenly Father, we first rebuke any spirit of manipulation, control, or exploitation that may be at work in this relationship. The Bible is clear that such behavior is not of You: *"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Galatians 5:13-14 WEB)*. This man’s actions—causing chaos, division, and exploiting your daughter’s finances—are not aligned with Your command to love others selflessly. We declare that any ungodly soul tie or emotional bondage that has formed between them is broken in the name of Jesus. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would reveal the truth to your daughter, that she may see this relationship for what it truly is and walk away without confusion, guilt, or delay.
Lord, we ask that You release your daughter completely from this unhealthy connection. Remove every lie that tells her she is obligated to stay, that she must endure mistreatment, or that she is somehow responsible for this man’s actions. Your Word tells us, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB)*. If this man is not a believer or is not living in a way that honors You, we pray that You would sever any ties that bind her to him. Let her walk in the freedom that Christ died to give her, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36 WEB).
We also pray for restoration in your daughter’s heart and in your family. Father, heal any wounds that this relationship has caused—whether in her faith, her trust, or her relationships with those who love her. We declare that her bond with her family will be strengthened, and that she will find her security and identity in You alone. Surround her with godly influences, mentors, and friends who will speak life into her and encourage her to pursue Your best for her life. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB)*. Let her experience Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You deal with this man according to Your justice and mercy. If he is open to change, we pray that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Show him the error of his ways and draw him to Yourself, that he may turn from his sin and seek Your will for his life. However, if he continues in his ungodly behavior, we ask that You remove him from your daughter’s life completely. Let there be no resistance, no drama, and no lingering ties. We declare that what is unhealthy cannot hold her, and what is unprepared cannot keep her. She is released, she is free, and she is under Your protection.
Finally, Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for your daughter as she moves forward. Guide her steps and lead her to a godly spouse—one who will love her as Christ loves the church, who will honor her, and who will build her up in faith. Until that time, let her find her fulfillment in You, knowing that *"a prudent wife is from the Lord"* (Proverbs 19:14 WEB)*. May she seek You above all else, trusting that You have a plan for her life that is good, pleasing, and perfect.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or set free. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we declare that Your will be done in this situation. Amen.
