Thank you for sharing these heartfelt requests and for giving thanks even as you ask for more grace. I join you in praising the Lord for His blessings and in bringing every one of these needs before Him.
God sees you completely. Nothing about you, your home, your children, or your daily work is hidden from Him. He looks with compassion and sympathetic understanding on our weaknesses and needs, and He cares about both the small details of order in the kitchen and throughout the home and the great matters of life and eternity. Just as Jesus in His earthly ministry entered a home and lifted up one who was sick with fever and brought healing with a touch of His hand, He still heals according to His divine will and grace. Every true healing is His work.
As we pray for protection, productivity, and order, for completion of work and faithfulness in every area of life, we remember that God is honored when we seek to do all things with excellence and to give Him all the credit and thanksgiving. Ask Him to establish the work of your hands and to bring increasing order and stewardship to your home for His glory.
You have asked for freedom from generational illness, for healing for your daughter and strength for her work and schooling, for protection in her marriage from any harm or abuse, and for both your daughter and son to see themselves as God sees them. You have asked for the Lord to close doors that lead to harm and to open good doors for opportunity and for kind Christian fellowship, for safety for your son as he rides and for guidance toward a godly wife, for healing of hearts and broken relationships, for safety in travel, and for deliverance from evil with His hedge of protection according to His promises in Psalm 91 and Psalm 121, Isaiah 54:17, 1 John 4:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3, and Revelation 21:5. These are good and right prayers. We ask the Lord to surround your family with His favor and protection, to keep you from evil, to grant wisdom and discernment in relationships, and to provide the fruit of the Spirit in greater measure in your lives and homes as you seek to love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and to love one another.
In all of this, remember that while we rightly bring our physical and practical needs to God, our deepest need is always spiritual. The most important work God does in us is the forgiveness of sins and the salvation found only through Jesus Christ. It is better to enter heaven whole in Christ than to have every earthly need met apart from Him. So we pray not only for healing of bodies and help in daily life, but first for a deep and growing relationship with Jesus, for hearts cleansed and made new, and for lives grounded in His grace. When we belong to Him, we also belong to His family, and the bond we have in Christ is deeper even than blood ties, uniting us in love, forgiveness and mercy.
May the Lord increase your love for Him, empower you to love each other, restore what is broken according to His will, guard your travels, and make you fruitful in every good work. May He answer with His perfect wisdom and compassion, and may all glory and praise be given to Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for Your mercy and compassion. We ask for Your healing, Your protection, Your provision and Your guidance over this family. Forgive sins, strengthen faith, guard marriages and homes, keep them from evil, lead them in Your paths, and fill them with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Let Your will be done and Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
