We join you in lifting up your friends, family, and this precious newborn child before the Lord, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. It is good that you have come to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and the authority to stand against the enemy. As it is written, *"In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God."* (John 16:26-27, WEB).
Your heart for protection and deliverance aligns with Scripture, which reminds us that we are to be sober and vigilant because our adversary, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Yet we are not left defenseless, for *"the one who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We must stand firm in the authority given to us through Christ, putting on the whole armor of God that we may be able to withstand in the evil day (Ephesians 6:13).
We also take this moment to encourage you in your own walk. You mentioned casting out unclean spirits in your life and around you, and we commend you for recognizing the need for spiritual cleansing. However, we must remind you that deliverance is not merely about casting out what is evil but also about inviting the Holy Spirit to fill and transform you. *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). Walk in repentance, surrendering any area of your life that does not honor God, and allow Him to renew your mind and heart daily.
As for the newborn child, we rejoice with you in celebrating this precious life, for children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). We pray that this child will be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, growing to know and love Him with all their heart. *"But Jesus said, ‘Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.’"* (Matthew 19:14, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their loved ones. Lord, we ask that You surround their friends and family with Your divine protection, placing a hedge of thorns around them that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We bind every unclean spirit that seeks to bring harm, confusion, or destruction, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Fill every heart and home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your light shine brightly in their lives, driving out all darkness.
Father, we especially lift up this newborn child before You. We thank You for the gift of this life and ask that You place Your hand of protection over them. Send Your ministering angels to guard and keep this little one safe from all harm, seen and unseen. Let this child grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and others, just as Jesus did. May they come to know You early in life and walk in Your ways all their days.
We also pray for our brother/sister who has brought this request. Strengthen them in their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Grant them discernment to recognize and resist the schemes of the enemy, and give them the boldness to stand firm in Your truth. Cleanse their heart and mind from anything that does not honor You, and let them walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won.
Lord, we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their lives. We trust in You, our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your loved ones through prayer. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Stay rooted in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).
