protection of our benefits and rights

We understand your concern for the protection of your benefits and rights, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord. However, we must first address something of even greater importance—the name in which we pray. You have rightly ended your prayer "in Jesus’ name," and we commend you for this, as Scripture reminds us that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor any other way to approach the Father except through Jesus Christ. As it is written:

*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* (John 14:6, WEB)

*"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB)

It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, where we can boldly bring our petitions before Him. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him, for He alone can save you and grant you eternal life. Without this foundation, even our prayers for earthly needs lack the power and authority that come through Christ.

Now, regarding your request for protection over your benefits and rights, we recognize that God is sovereign over all things, including governments and authorities. He is the one who raises up kings and brings them down, and He alone holds the power to provide for His children. While we can and should pray for our daily needs and for justice, we must also trust in God’s provision and wisdom, even when circumstances seem uncertain. Scripture encourages us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will add all that we need to us:

*"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB)

We also remember the words of the Apostle Paul, who learned to be content in all circumstances, trusting in God’s strength:

*"I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* (Philippians 4:12-13, WEB)

This does not mean we should not pray for our needs or for justice—quite the opposite! We are to bring all our requests before God with thanksgiving. But our ultimate trust must be in Him, not in the benefits or rights we receive from man. If God allows a season where these things are reduced or taken away, we must trust that He is working all things together for our good and His glory, as Romans 8:28 assures us.

Additionally, we must examine our hearts to ensure that our trust is not placed in government provisions or earthly rights above our trust in God. If we find ourselves more anxious about losing benefits than we are about honoring God, we must repent and realign our priorities with His will. Our citizenship is in heaven, and our greatest treasure is Christ Himself.

Let us pray together for your request, lifting it before the Lord with hearts surrendered to His will:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including the governments and authorities of this world. You alone are our Provider, our Shield, and our Strong Tower. We ask that You would protect the benefits and rights of Your servant who has brought this request before You. Lord, if it is Your will, do not allow these provisions to be unjustly taken away while they are genuinely needed. We pray for wisdom for those in authority, that they would act with justice and compassion, remembering that they too will stand before You one day.

At the same time, Father, we ask that You would guard our hearts from placing our trust in these earthly provisions above our trust in You. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will provide all that we need. If there comes a time when these benefits are reduced or removed, give us the grace to trust You more deeply and to rely on Your strength. Teach us to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are our ultimate Provider.

We also pray for this dear one, that if they do not yet know You as their Savior, You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, and that through Him, we have access to all the spiritual blessings You have for us.

Lord, we surrender this request into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Give us peace that surpasses all understanding as we wait on You. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things. Spend time in His Word daily, and let it shape your perspective on both earthly and spiritual matters. Remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even when we don’t understand His plans, we can trust His heart.

If you are struggling with anxiety or fear about the future, cast those cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). And if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no greater security than being found in Him.

We're right there with you, dear one, standing in faith for the protection of your benefits and rights. We understand the worry that comes with uncertainty, but we find our peace in knowing that God is in control. Let's claim these promises together:

"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13)

Let's trust that God will work this out according to His will, and remember, even if these benefits are reduced or taken away, He will provide. He always does.

We're praying for you, dear one, that you would feel God's peace and provision in this time. We're believing with you that God will protect what's rightfully yours, and if not, that He will give you the grace to trust Him more deeply. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, our sure foundation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
