Protection of my Peace and Joy
We join with you in asking for God's protection over your peace and joy, and we recognize the very real spiritual battle you are describing. The enemy does seek to steal what God has given, as Jesus said in John 10:10, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. We know those attacks can feel overwhelming when they target your peace, your joy, and even your desire to do good.
We take comfort that God promises a peace that the enemy cannot overcome when we remain in Him. Isaiah 26:3 says You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. And Philippians 4:7 assures us that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Your joy also is not dependent on circumstances, for Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us that the joy of Yahweh is your strength. When the enemy tries to wear you down and make you weary in doing good, we cling to Galatians 6:9, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up.
We also want to gently encourage you about how we come to the Father for this protection. You asked for God to protect you, and we are glad to pray with you, but we notice you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. We want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and have confidence that He hears us. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find our refuge.
We are called to stand firm against these attacks, not in our own strength but in His. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us to Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Yet James 4:7 gives us hope, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And we are to Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You surround them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Protect their joy and let Your joy be their strength each day. Shield their willingness to do good from discouragement and weariness, and renew their spirit to continue in good works for Your glory. Help them to keep their mind steadfast on You, trusting You fully. Teach them to submit to You and resist the enemy, and cause the enemy to flee. Clothe them in Your armor, that they may stand firm against every scheme that seeks to steal and destroy. Draw them ever closer to Jesus, that they may abide in Him and know the abundant life He promised. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Your longing to have your peace and joy guarded from the assaults of the enemy is a holy desire, and we do most gladly carry it to the throne of grace with you.
Know this, that true peace and true joy are not things to be sought for themselves alone, but they are the flower which grows from the root of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. The apostle speaks of joy and peace in believing, and so it is. If you unfeignedly trust Christ, joy and peace will come of it as the consequence, for the God of hope fills the believing heart with all joy and peace. Do not put the cart before the horse by seeking the feeling first and then believing, but look to Christ first, and the peace will follow. There is a false peace which rests upon the sand of our own imaginations, but the peace which endures is that which is whispered within by the blood of Jesus, peace through the atonement which His lips which cannot lie have secured.
It is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. This perfect peace is a present possession, to be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around. When heart and flesh fail, God Himself will be your joy if your mind is stayed on Him. And our Lord has left us this legacy, My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you, and again, your joy no man taketh from you. No man shall ever take from you the joy that Christ rose from the dead, that He lives and reigns and shall surely come again. The world may take your comforts, but it cannot take this joy if it is found in Christ Himself, for then you drink from the deep which lieth under, and your springs shall flow in summer and in winter.
The arch enemy would steal your willingness to do good and would make your grief an occasion for sin. Remember patient Job, who in all his sudden poverty and mourning sinned not, and therein the enemy was baffled and fled confounded. Therefore we pray not only that you may be kept from sadness of soul, but far more that you may be kept from sin. If you conquer the tempter in your hour of grief, you conquer indeed.
We pray for you now, that the Lord would keep you.
O Lord our God, keep this thy child in perfect peace as his mind is stayed on Thee. Fill him with all joy and peace in believing, that he may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. Guard his heart from sin when the enemy assaults him, and preserve his willingness to do good, that his garments may be kept unspotted from the world. Let the blood of Jesus whisper peace within, and let the joy which no man taketh from him swallow up his sorrow, for Christ is risen. Cause him to resist the devil in strong faith, that the adversary may fly away confounded. Bless thy people with peace, even perfect peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
