We come before the Lord with you in this serious matter, lifting up your cry for protection and deliverance from the evil influences you describe. The Scriptures are clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your neighbor may be involved in dark practices, but we know that Jesus Christ has already triumphed over every power of darkness through His death and resurrection. Colossians 2:15 declares, *"Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."*
First, we must address something important: you mentioned asking the Lord to make your neighbor "a good Catholic." While we respect your heart’s desire for her salvation, we must clarify that salvation and righteousness come only through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not through any religious tradition or denomination. Acts 4:12 states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus is the only way, and we pray that this woman—and all people—would come to a saving knowledge of Him, repenting of sin and trusting in His finished work on the cross. There is no power in Catholicism, Protestantism, or any other label apart from Christ Himself. It is by grace through faith in Him that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Now, regarding the witchcraft and attacks you describe, we stand firmly on the authority of Jesus’ name. Witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and those who practice it are under His judgment unless they repent. However, as believers, we are not to fear, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We must also examine our own hearts to ensure there is no bitterness, unforgiveness, or retaliation in us, for the Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean tolerating evil, but it does mean trusting God to handle the situation while we walk in obedience and holiness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including the dark forces that seek to harm Your children. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over this Your servant and their family. Surround them with Your hedge of fire, as described in Zechariah 2:5, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every curse, every spell, and every assignment of the enemy against them by the power of the blood of Jesus. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17), and let the plans of the wicked be turned back on their own heads (Psalm 7:15-16).
Lord, we also pray for this neighbor who is involved in witchcraft. Father, we ask that You would convict her heart by Your Holy Spirit. Open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ is Lord, and there is no salvation in any other. Break the chains of darkness that bind her, and draw her to Yourself in repentance and faith. Let her encounter the living God in a way that transforms her life completely. We pray that she would turn from her wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness, for You desire that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Father, fill this Your servant with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them walk in the confidence that You are their shield and their exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1). Give them wisdom on how to respond to this situation in a way that honors You, whether it be through setting boundaries, seeking godly counsel, or even involving authorities if necessary. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and their role is to trust You and walk in obedience.
We also ask that You would expose any hidden sins or areas of compromise in the life of this Your servant or their family that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Search their hearts, O God, and lead them in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Let them walk in holiness and righteousness, for Your Word says that *"the one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous"* (1 John 3:7).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring godly people into their lives—believers who can stand with them in prayer, offer wise counsel, and provide support. Let them not walk this path alone but be strengthened by the body of Christ.
We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Spend time in prayer and in the Word, for these are your greatest weapons. If you have not already, we also encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support and accountability from mature believers. Do not let fear rule your heart, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7).
If there are specific ways this neighbor has harmed you or your family, we urge you to document them and seek godly wisdom on how to address the situation practically, whether through legal means or other appropriate actions. Trust that the Lord will guide your steps as you seek Him first (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we want to remind you that your ultimate victory is in Christ. No matter what the enemy may try, he cannot snatch you out of the Father’s hand (John 10:28-29). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will bring you through this trial stronger and more dependent on Him. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you in prayer, and the Lord Himself fights for you (Exodus 14:14). Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
