Protection from stealing my inheritence

Othualmance

Disciple of Prayer
Lord please help, problems with my brother continues again, my mother died yesterday and he already said he will spend the half of money on my mothers account for the car that he allegedly had only because of my sick mom (to do things for her needs) and now he says that he will keep the car and take the money from my mothers account to pay for the credit of this car. Its unbelievable through how much pain and unrighteousness i must go through in this lifetime. Lord when it will end??? Lord i am afraid that he will rob me of my inheritance somehow or just like a parasite take here and take there and i will not be able to do nothing against it. Its a hard financial situation in our country and people are greedy. Its such a heavy atmosphere, Lord please protect me from parasites, stealing and from the devil working through my brother. He hangs up the phone when he doesnt like what he hears. He doesnt wait on me when he drives me to my mom. Always some kind of pressure and shutting me up. Lord i find it hard to believe that you exist slowly. Especially after my father and mother died and i prayed so much for their healing.

The Shut-In
God shuts you in for your growth and calls you to trust His purpose in your confinement.
The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Sensitiveness of Christ
Christ feels every touch of human suffering and calls you to reach out to him in faith for healing and comfort.
We hear the deep pain and heaviness in your heart and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. To lose your mother yesterday, after also losing your father, and to face strife with your brother in the very midst of your grief is an overwhelming burden, and we grieve with you. The Lord sees your tears and your fear and the injustice you feel.

We want to gently share with you that you have cried out to Lord, but you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 it says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, who died for your sins and rose again, we urge you to believe on Him, confess Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our doubts and grief can find true comfort.

Your doubt is understandable in such deep suffering. You prayed so earnestly for your parents' healing and now they are gone, and you wonder if God even exists. We want to remind you that God has not left you, even when your feelings tell you otherwise. In Psalm 34:18 it says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And in Psalm 46:1 it says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The healing we pray for on earth is not always answered as we hope, because God sees eternity, and for those who belong to Him, death is not the end but the doorway to perfect healing in His presence. In Romans 8:28 it says, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. This does not mean all things are good, but that God can redeem even our deepest pain for His purposes. Like Thomas who doubted, Jesus invites your honest questions, and He is faithful even when our faith feels weak.

We also hear your distress about your brother and the inheritance. What you describe, taking money from your mother's account to pay for a car he now intends to keep for himself, if it is not his rightful portion, is unjust in the eyes of God. In Exodus 20:15 it says, You shall not steal. And in Proverbs 11:1 it says, A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. In 1 Timothy 6:10 it says, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. And in Proverbs 15:27 it says, He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live. Your brother's actions of hanging up the phone, pressuring you, shutting you up, and refusing to wait for you are not loving or honorable. In Ephesians 4:31-32 it says, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

We understand why you feel he is acting like a parasite and why you feel robbed and powerless, and we do not condone his greed. At the same time we encourage you not to let bitterness take root in your own heart, for in Hebrews 12:15 it says to watch lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you. We wrestle not only against flesh and blood, as it says in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. So we must pray against the spiritual work of greed and division while still seeking what is right and just.

We encourage you to seek both godly counsel and wise legal counsel regarding the estate. In Proverbs 21:15 it says, It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. Do not try to face this alone. If there is a will, an executor, or probate laws in your country, seek help to ensure the accounts and the car are handled lawfully and fairly. Document everything, keep records of what is said and done, and do not agree to anything under pressure. In Romans 12:18 it says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Set loving but firm boundaries, and do not return evil for evil, but commit your cause to the Lord who judges righteously, for in Psalm 37:28 it says, For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn't forsake his saints.

We are praying together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear one who is grieving the fresh loss of a mother and carrying the earlier loss of a father. Lord, wrap Your arms of comfort around this hurting heart, for You are near to the brokenhearted. Strengthen faith where doubt has crept in, and help this precious soul to know that You are real, You are present, and You have not forsaken them. Reveal Yourself through Jesus, and give peace that surpasses all understanding as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over this inheritance. You see every account, every intention, and every act of greed. Expose what is unjust and prevent what is stolen. Give wisdom to navigate the legal matters, provide honest help and advocates, and guard this grieving child from being robbed or manipulated. Soften the brother's heart, convict him of greed and selfishness, and turn him from taking what is not his. Protect our dear one from the schemes of the devil who seeks to use division and financial pressure to destroy families. In Isaiah 41:10 You say, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Be that strength and help now.

We ask that You provide for every financial need in this hard economy, for You have promised in Hebrews 13:5 to never leave us nor forsake us, and that You will supply what we need. Heal the relationship where possible, give words of grace and firmness, and let justice and mercy meet. Restore hope where there has been so much pain and unrighteousness, and let this soul know that this season of suffering will not last forever, and that You will bring justice in Your perfect time. We cast all anxiety upon You because You care for us, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We were so sorry to read your note, especially that your mother passed just yesterday. To carry such fresh sorrow and at the same time feel pressured, cut off, and unsafe around family and finances is an incredibly heavy burden. It makes sense you feel overwhelmed and even wonder where God is after praying so much for both your parents.

Please know that questioning whether God is near after that kind of loss does not mean you have failed. For many believers doubt surfaces most when prayers for healing seem unanswered and God feels silent. It is often tied more to pain and disappointment than to a settled lack of faith, and it can be part of walking through grief honestly while you still seek Him.

In these first days, try not to carry both the grief and the practical pressure alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature friend, let them sit with you in the grief itself, not just the conflict. For the worries about the account and the car, we encourage you to get clear local guidance soon rather than trying to sort it under pressure. A local attorney, notary, or legal aid office where you live can explain how inheritance and accounts are handled, what paperwork to keep, and what not to sign quickly. Bring someone calm with you to any meetings and keep copies of any documents, and avoid being rushed into decisions.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift them to You in their grief and fear. Comfort them as they mourn their mother and father, guard them from being taken advantage of, and give them wisdom and trustworthy help for each decision ahead. Draw near when You feel distant and give them peace to take one step at a time. Amen.

The sorrow you describe is deep and very real, and the Lord who sees in secret has not overlooked one tear nor one pang of this heavy hour. To lose a mother, and so soon after a father, and to find grief pressed upon by strife and fear about earthly goods, is a burden that would bow any spirit down. It is no wonder that your heart cries, Lord, when will it end.

You ask for protection from being robbed, from greed, from the pressure and hard dealing of your brother. It is right to ask the Lord to restrain evil and to establish justice. The Lord is a God of righteousness, and He will not bless wrongdoing nor the taking of what belongs to another. We will pray that He guards what is justly yours, that He restrains all covetousness, and that He brings your brother to a mind of honesty and repentance. At the same time, seek also the help that God has placed at hand for such matters, quiet counsel from godly and wise persons in your church, and lawful counsel where the estate is concerned, that all things may be done openly and according to what is right. Keep careful account of what is known, speak truthfully and calmly, and leave vengeance with the Lord while you do what is orderly and just.

You speak also of a heavier trial still, that you find it hard to believe that God exists, because you prayed so much for your parents and they were not healed as you desired. Here your faith is sorely tried, and the Lord deals gently with such trying. There is a little faith that trembles on the water, and our Lord gently censured it with the words, O you of little faith, why did you doubt. Little faith forgets her Lord and mixes her confidences, bold one day and timid the next, and she speaks unreasonably when she doubts the strong Christ and the unwavering promise. Yet even little faith is faith, and it may increase exceedingly until it ripens into full assurance. The essence of saving faith is not merely to know that Christ is there, nor merely to believe that He is strong, but to drop down into His arms and trust Him wholly.

Faith is the shield which protects the whole man. Above all, take the shield of faith, for it quenches the fiery darts of the wicked, whether they come from Satan, from wicked men, or from our own fearful hearts. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. When you feel pressed, shut up, hung up upon, and without strength, that shield is not a feeling but a trusting in the faithful One. Great faith prays and prevails, not by bending God to our will, but by resting upon His perfect will and His sure promise.

You have been thinking much of an earthly inheritance, and it is right to care for what is just. But there is another inheritance which cannot be stolen, which no parasite and no thief can touch. When we first come to Christ by faith we enter into our true inheritance, the pardon of sin, washed in the blood of the Lamb, and a calm given to the soul. Of this inheritance we have title deeds that no lawyer need dispute, for they are written in the promise and the blood of Christ. By criticism you may put your foot in it, but by faith you put your foot on it. The child of God may say, In the name of the living God this blessing is mine. You are not straitened in Him, but you are straitened in your own heart when you think His grace too narrow for your sorrow. True faith says, though mountains be hidden in darkness, they are as real as in day, and though fig tree and flock may fail, yet will I trust in the Lord.

Do not think that because the Lord did not answer your prayers for healing as you desired, He did not hear or does not live. He who gave His Son for sinners hears every prayer of His people, and answers according to infinite wisdom and love, not always as we ask, but always for our good and His glory. Faith lives not by sight nor by the turn of outward things, but by the faithfulness of God. The just shall live by faith, in summer weather and in winter cold, in plenty and in want, in life and in death. Summer weather faith is poor stuff, but a faith that burns on through the long dark dreary winter glorifies God.

And faith that is true is sanctifying faith. It does not allow us to think lightly of sin, whether our own or another's, but it leads us to say, Lord, you have forgiven me, I will sin no more. So we pray for you that your faith may be strengthened, and we pray for your brother also, that God would turn his heart from greed to godliness.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Look upon this grieving child who has lost father and mother and who now feels pressed and afraid. Forgive little faith and increase it. Help to drop into the arms of Christ and find there pardon, peace, and a sure inheritance that none can steal. Guard what is just and right in this earthly estate, restrain all greed and deceit, bring to light what is hidden, and give wisdom to all who must order these affairs. Soften the heart of a brother, turn him from covetousness, teach him to do justly and to love mercy. Keep this wounded heart from the fiery darts of the evil one, lift up the shield of faith, and grant a calm like a lake on a summer evening. Though prayers for healing were not answered as desired, show that you are still faithful, that you do all things well, and that you will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Jesus Christ, in whose name we ask all things. Amen.
