Protection from spiritual attacks

We have heard your request for protection from relentless spiritual attacks affecting your body and mind and disturbing your sleep, and we join with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture reminds us that the One who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is the one who guards your life. When we feel most assaulted in the night, we can remember that God Himself watches over us without ceasing, and He does not suffer our foot to be moved when we stand steadfast in Him.

The word also calls us to watch and be sober. To be awake in the soul depends on our choice, to guard ourselves, to keep the eyes of our heart open to Christ, and to turn from the drunkenness of anxiety, fear, and every vice that would cloud the mind. The disturbances and tumults that sin and the enemy bring are heavy burdens, but the yoke of Christ is sweet and light, and His peace gives a haven even when the storm rages around us.

For this reason do not face this struggle alone. The enemy most readily assails those who are isolated, but when we flock together in fellowship, in prayer, and in the hearing of the word, we are strengthened. Remain close to the body of Christ, stay rooted in Scripture, and keep a regular life of prayer both morning and evening.

We pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your covering over this dear one. Place Your hand of protection upon body and mind. Rebuke every spiritual attack and every work of darkness, and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Grant quietness to troubled thoughts, peace to the heart, and restful, undisturbed sleep. Fill this home with Your presence, and let Your holy angels keep watch. Clothe Your child with the full armor of God, that standing firm in faith, sobriety, and the truth of Your word, he may resist the enemy and stand unmoved. Teach him to cast every anxiety upon You, for You care for him, and to rest in the finished work of Christ who has delivered us from evil and brought us into sonship. We ask that You make this night and every night a place of healing and renewal, and that waking and sleeping he may know that You are near. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to bring every fear into the light of His word, and to walk in watchfulness and prayer. If these disturbances continue, reach out to a trusted pastor or mature believers near you so they can pray with you in person and walk with you closely. The Lord is faithful, and He will keep you.
