Protection from spiritual attacks

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for protection from relentless attacks on body and mind causing disturbances in sleep, in Jesus name Amen

We hear your cry for protection from spiritual attacks that are disrupting your peace and rest. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. You are not alone in this battle, and we join with you in prayer, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

The Bible assures us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These attacks are not merely physical or psychological, they are spiritual, and they require spiritual weapons. We must put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18, so that we may stand against the schemes of the devil. The helmet of salvation guards our minds, the breastplate of righteousness protects our hearts, the belt of truth secures our foundation, the shield of faith extinguishes the fiery darts of the enemy, the shoes of the gospel of peace keep us grounded, and the sword of the Spirit, God’s Word, is our offensive weapon.

We also declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 promises: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh." The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already a defeated foe. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You have been given authority over all the power of the enemy, as Luke 10:19 declares: "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack, and we ask for Your divine protection over their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).

Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that is seeking to disturb their peace and rest. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their home, and their mind, creating a hedge of protection that the enemy cannot penetrate. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for restorative sleep, Father. Give them sweet rest that refreshes their body and renews their strength. Let Your presence be a shield around them as they sleep, and may they wake up in the morning with praise on their lips, knowing that You are their defender. We declare that the enemy’s plans are frustrated, and his attacks are turned back upon him, for You are our strong tower, and we run to You and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).

Lord, we also ask that You strengthen their faith and remind them of Your promises. Let them stand firm in the truth of Your Word, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not be shaken by the schemes of the devil.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to protect and deliver Your children. We trust in Your unfailing love and declare that the enemy has no power over us, for we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The attacks you are facing are a sign that the enemy sees the work God is doing in and through you, and he is trying to hinder it. But remember, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, and He will give life to your mortal body (Romans 8:11). Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

Continue to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Meditate on Scripture day and night, and let it dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). The enemy cannot stand against the truth of God’s Word. Speak it out loud, declare it over your life, and watch as the lies of the enemy are dismantled.

We also encourage you to surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. The enemy seeks to isolate, but we are called to bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). Do not face this battle alone, lean on the body of Christ and allow others to uphold you in prayer.

Lastly, examine your heart and life to ensure there is no foothold for the enemy. Ephesians 4:27 warns us, "Don’t give place to the devil." Confess any known sin, and turn away from it, for the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus will continue to cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7).

Stand firm, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not be swayed by the storms around you (Hebrews 12:2). The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We hear you, relentless spiritual attacks that disturb your sleep and weigh on your body and mind are exhausting. We’re grateful you reached out, and we’re standing with you in prayer. These battles often intensify in the quiet of the night, but you are not alone in them.

When sleep escapes us, everything feels harder. God cares deeply about your rest; His design for us includes genuine peace for body and soul. As we pray, also consider one or two practical helps: if the sleep disturbances persist, a doctor can check for any physical causes so nothing is overlooked. And many have found that a trusted friend or pastor praying with them in person can bring a special sense of comfort and protection. Some also find that playing gentle worship music or hymns before bed quiets the mind and fills the room with truth, making it easier to let go.

Remember, you belong to Christ and He is mightier than any force that comes against you. You don’t have to generate some perfect feeling of safety, just rest in His care.

Please join us in this prayer:

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your strong protection over our friend right now. Silence the voices and disturbances that aim to steal their sleep and peace. Cover their body and mind with Your presence. Grant them deep, restoring sleep tonight, and steady their heart in the days ahead. Surround them with Your peace that no attack can breach. We trust You to be their shield. In Your name, Amen.

when night follows night and there has been no sleep for you, you do not want anything to keep you awake, then, but you long for sleep. “Oh, that I could sleep!” you cry. What a blessing sleep is to this poor, weary frame and to the throbbing brain! The sleep of the body is the gift of God. It is God who steeps the mind in lethe, and bids us slumber, that our bodies may be refreshed. So he giveth his beloved sleep. He never fails for lack of power, or because of a change of mind. He has laid down His life for you and He is prepared to exercise all His Divine power and wisdom to bring you home. Be of good cheer, then, “As one whom his mother comforts,” so will the Lord comfort you!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The attacks you suffer in the night are not mere fancies of the mind, but the enemy’s attempt to shake your soul from its steadfastness. Yet remember, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps; His protection is not withdrawn in the darkness. The disturbance in your body and mind often springs from a heart not yet fully at rest in Him. The saints sleep in decent quiet, their souls not stifled by surfeiting or worldly cares, because they have crucified their passions and dedicated themselves as living sacrifices. Worship God in spirit and in truth: it is not by cleansing the body alone, but by purifying the mind that we drive away the foe.

Examine your heart. Is there any root of covetousness, any secret lust, any gnawing anxiety that gives the enemy a foothold? A soul entangled in such things is like a sea that never rests, always tossed by waves of fear and despair. But the yoke of virtue is sweet and light to those who bear it willingly. Do not suffer your foot to be moved by these terrors, but stand fast, commending yourself to the Father as Christ did in His agony, saying, “Glorify Your Name.” When the dread of night presses upon you, let that be your prayer.

Call upon the Name of Jesus, who has made you a partaker of His own Body. Will He not defend the members of His own flesh? Set your mind on things above, where Christ is seated, and the power of every spiritual attack will be broken. The angels need no locks or bars, for their whole life is ordered by the will of God; and you, though in the flesh, may through vigilance and prayer taste something of their tranquility. Keep watch, and the Lord of peace Himself will give you rest.

The distress in your body and mind is a very real battle, and it strikes at the place where the enemy often tries to gain a foothold. You are more than the physical tent you live in; your true self is spirit, and this body is simply the instrument God has given you for a season. When relentless attacks disturb your sleep and occupy your thoughts with the body’s needs and fears, the enemy aims to drag your consciousness down into what Scripture calls the mind of the flesh, a mindset dominated by the body, which only breeds spiritual death and restless turmoil.

But in Christ you have been given a new mind, the mind of the Spirit, and that mind is life and peace. The body groans, every believer in this age groans, earnestly longing for the day when we will move out of these frail tents and be clothed with a heavenly body that never knows weakness, pain, or sleepless nights. That hope is unshakable, and it purifies us while we wait. Until then, you are not helpless. You can present this very body as a living sacrifice, holy and set apart for God. Your physical frame, with all its vulnerabilities, is a temple of the Holy Spirit. You are not your own.

When sleep is stolen, turn your mind and your words to the Lord. Speak truth into the night: the real you is hidden with Christ, and no spiritual attack can separate you from His love. Resist the enemy, and he will flee. Yield the members of your body as instruments of righteousness, not as instruments for fear. The body of Christ is standing with you, when one member suffers, the whole body feels it. We are lifting you in prayer, asking the Father to shield you and mend what has been worn down. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, and the victory is already won in Jesus’ name. He who watches over you neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He gives songs in the night. One day you will be clothed with a body that belongs to the new creation, free from every assault. Until then, we groan together, we fight together, and we rest in the finished work of the cross.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer against the spiritual attacks you’ve been facing. It has been our privilege to lift up your request before the Lord, asking Him to surround you with His mighty protection and peace. We prayed specifically for the disturbances in your sleep and the heaviness on your mind and body to be broken in Jesus’ name, that you would experience the rest and safety that only He can provide.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and you’re now walking in greater freedom and peace, we would love to hear your praise report—your testimony could encourage others who are facing similar battles. If, however, the attacks persist or the burden still feels heavy, please know that we are here to continue standing with you. Post this request again, and we will keep interceding on your behalf, trusting that God’s timing and deliverance are perfect.

May the Lord strengthen you with His presence, shield you with His armor, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful and will never leave you to face these battles alone. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
