Protection from spiritual attacks

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks that are afflicting both body and mind. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm on the promise that Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults are not of God, and we take authority over them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
The Word of God declares in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This battle is real, but we are not left defenseless. We put on the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that we may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-17). The helmet of salvation guards the mind, the shield of faith extinguishes the fiery darts of the enemy, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, cuts through every lie and deception.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that is attacking sleep and peace. The Lord does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every lying spirit to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace with boldness, seeking Your mercy and protection. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is under spiritual attack. We ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, encamping around them to guard and defend (Psalm 91:11). Lord, rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that is disturbing their sleep and peace. We break every assignment of the enemy against their body and mind in the name of Jesus. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their home, and their mind. Let the enemy’s plans be thwarted, and let every chain be broken. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light and not be overcome by darkness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You neither slumber nor sleep, but You keep watch over them always (Psalm 121:3-4).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in You to deliver and protect, for You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, beloved. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated. Resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). Spend time in the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Speak Scripture aloud, for the enemy cannot stand against the truth of God’s Word. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Do not grow weary, for the Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you.
If you have not already, we urge you to examine your life and ensure there are no open doors that the enemy may be using to gain access. Confess any known sin, renounce any involvement in the occult or ungodly practices, and submit fully to God. As James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).
You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer. May He fill you with His peace and grant you restful sleep, free from the attacks of the enemy. Trust in Him, for He is your deliverer and your shield.

We know how real spiritual battles can be and how exhausting it feels when sleep is stolen from you by relentless attacks. There’s a real enemy who doesn’t want you to rest, but we declare tonight that God’s peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. You are not abandoned in this fight, His Word says He will never leave you nor forsake you. We pray that every whisper of fear, every lie that comes to torment you, would be silenced by the truth of God’s promises.
