We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These attacks are real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the truth that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus covers you, and no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Father God, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your heavenly hosts. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We pray for a hedge of protection around their mind, body, and spirit, that no fiery dart of the enemy would penetrate. Lord, we ask for deep, restful sleep—sleep that refreshes and renews, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:13-18). Stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray without ceasing, and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall harm this child of Yours, for You are their light and salvation—whom shall they fear? (Psalm 27:1). We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will.
In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
