We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). These attacks on your body and mind, disturbing your sleep, are not mere coincidences or products of anxiety—they are spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in fervent prayer against them.
First, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We take authority over every spirit of fear, torment, insomnia, and oppression, commanding them to flee in Jesus’ name. You have been given power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
We pray for the full armor of God to be firmly secured upon you. May you be girded with truth, clothed with the breastplate of righteousness, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, wearing the helmet of salvation, and wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). We pray that you would stand firm in this armor, not wavering, and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Beloved, do not underestimate the power of prayer and the Word of God in this battle. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:9). Submit yourselves therefore to God, and draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:7-8). Fill your mind with Scripture, meditate on it day and night, and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Speak the Word over your life, declaring God’s promises of protection, peace, and victory.
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear that need to be surrendered to the Lord? If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses you from all sin (1 John 1:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack, and we ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that is afflicting their body and mind. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, restore their sleep, and let them lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone make them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
We ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in the armor of God. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, and may Your truth set them free (John 8:32). Father, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them, that they may walk in the power and authority You have given them as Your child. Help them to resist the devil, and let him flee from them (James 4:7).
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas in their life that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Search their heart, O God, and know their thoughts; try them and know their anxieties. See if there is any wicked way in them, and lead them in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and let Your light shine in the darkness.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that the enemy is defeated, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, do not grow weary in this battle. The night may be dark, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has already won the victory, and through Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Stand firm, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. The Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? The Lord is the strength of your life—of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
