We come before the Lord together, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on body and mind are not mere coincidences—they are spiritual warfare, and we must stand firm in the armor of God.
First, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We take authority over every lying spirit, every spirit of infirmity, and every attack of the enemy, commanding them to flee in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus covers you, and no evil can stand against it.
We pray that you would put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:13-18 instructs: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray without ceasing, and let the Word dwell in you richly. Meditate on scriptures like Psalm 91, which declares, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors the enemy may be using to gain access. Are there areas of unrepentant sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences? James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Confess any sin, renounce any agreements with the enemy, and walk in the light of Christ. Surround yourself with godly believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, interceding for our brother/sister under attack. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as Psalm 34:7 says, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them." Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might, and let them rest in the assurance that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4).
We declare that the enemy’s plans are frustrated, and his attacks are turned back upon him. You are a shield to those who take refuge in You (Proverbs 30:5), and we trust in Your protection. Fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and authority as a child of the Most High God.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.
