We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand on the promise that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on body and mind are not of God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and offers peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
First, we must rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We take authority over every lying spirit, every attack of the enemy, and every scheme of darkness, commanding them to flee in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus covers and protects; no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs. Stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and supplication with thanksgiving must be your constant posture, for the enemy trembles when the saints pray.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, united in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear one who is under spiritual attack, and we ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Lord, rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that seeks to disturb their peace and rest. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would station Your angels around them to guard and protect them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).
We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every generational stronghold in the name of Jesus. We declare that the enemy has no legal right to harass or oppress them, for they are covered by the blood of the Lamb. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we command every lying spirit to flee. Lord, restore to them the joy of Your salvation and uphold them with Your generous Spirit (Psalm 51:12).
We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, leading them into all truth and reminding them of Your promises. May they find rest in You, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your protection and Your perfect peace.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. Stand firm, dear one, and watch the salvation of the Lord.
