We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm on the promise that Jesus came so that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on body and mind are not from God, for He gives His beloved rest (Psalm 127:2). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this dear one, covering every area of their life—mind, body, and spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, surround them with Your angels, as You command them to encamp around those who fear You and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). Let Your presence be a shield and fortress, for You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage this beloved child of God to put on the full armor of God daily, so they may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit—which is Your Word—are their defense. Remind them to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, staying alert with perseverance (Ephesians 6:18). Let them find strength in Your Word, meditating on it day and night, for it is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter, Teacher, and Guide. Let them walk in the Spirit so they will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Renew their mind with Your truth, for the weapons of their warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that every lie of the enemy is exposed and destroyed by the light of Your Word. Let them rest in the assurance that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want. You make them lie down in green pastures and lead them beside still waters (Psalm 23:1-2).
We pray for deep, restorative sleep, free from nightmares and disturbances. Lord, give them sweet rest, for You give to Your beloved even in their sleep (Psalm 127:2). Let them wake up refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in You. We also ask that You reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold—whether through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences—and lead them to repentance and restoration. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
Finally, we stand in agreement with this dear one, declaring that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No attack of the enemy will prevail, for the Lord is their light and their salvation—whom shall they fear? The Lord is the strength of their life—of whom shall they be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus Christ. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
