We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These attacks on your body and mind, disrupting your sleep, are not mere coincidences—they are spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in fervent prayer against them.
First, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). We command every spirit of fear, torment, and sleeplessness to flee right now in Jesus’ name. You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord your God goes with you to fight for you against your enemies and to save you (Deuteronomy 20:4).
We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord surround you with His angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We ask that the Holy Spirit would fill you with strength and comfort, reminding you that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Do not grow weary or lose heart, for the Lord is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Stay vigilant and alert, for the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Resist him, standing firm in the faith.
Father God, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual oppression over this dear one’s life. Let Your light shine into every dark corner where the enemy has sought to hide. Fill them with Your presence, Lord, so that there is no room for fear or torment. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to meditate on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours through Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
