We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm on the promise that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). These disturbances in sleep and the relentless assaults on body and mind are not of God, for He gives His beloved rest (Psalm 127:2) and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this beloved child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, for it is by His blood that we are cleansed and protected (Revelation 12:11). Lord, surround them with Your angels to encamp around them and deliver them from every evil work (Psalm 91:11, 2 Thessalonians 3:3).
We pray for the full armor of God to be firmly in place: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). May they stand firm in faith, resisting the devil so that he will flee (James 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not be overcome by the schemes of the enemy.
Lord, we also pray for discernment to recognize the root of these attacks. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or open doors to the enemy? Search their heart, O God, and reveal anything that needs to be surrendered to You (Psalm 139:23-24). If there is any foothold the enemy is using, we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Lead them to repentance and restoration, for You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We encourage this dear one to draw near to God, for He promises to draw near to them (James 4:8). Spend time in prayer and in Your Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize scriptures that speak of Your protection and peace, and declare them aloud in faith. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand in agreement with you and offer support.
Remember, the name of Jesus is above every name, and at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow (Philippians 2:9-10). There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set the captives free. Call upon Him in your time of need, for He is ever-present and ever-faithful.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen this beloved one with Your might and fill them with Your peace that transcends all understanding. May they rest securely in Your arms, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
