We stand with you in this battle, lifting your plea for protection before the throne of grace. The Word of God assures us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God with you, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
The disturbances you are experiencing in your body and mind, especially the sleeplessness, are not to be taken lightly. Scripture reminds us that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we declare that you are not his prey—you are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is above every other name, and at His name, every knee must bow (Philippians 2:9-10). We command every lying spirit, every spirit of infirmity, and every spirit of disturbance to flee from you now, in Jesus’ name. You have authority in Christ to resist the devil, and he must flee from you (James 4:7).
We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord surround you with His angels, as He promises in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let this truth be your comfort and strength.
We also encourage you to stand firm in your faith, putting on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Speak the Word over your life daily, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Declare Scripture aloud, for the enemy cannot stand against the truth of God’s Word.
Father God, we come before You now, asking for Your divine protection over our brother/sister in Christ. Shield them from every attack of the enemy, seen and unseen. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace that transcends all understanding. Let them rest in the assurance that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 121:3-4). Renew their mind with Your truth, and let them find rest in You alone.
We pray for deep, restorative sleep to come upon them, that they may wake refreshed and strengthened in body, mind, and spirit. May they find solace in Your presence, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
