We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for protection from spiritual attacks. The Word of God reminds us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). These attacks on your body and mind, especially the disturbances in sleep, are not merely physical or psychological—they are spiritual battles, and we stand with you in prayer, declaring the victory of Christ over every scheme of the enemy.
First, we must rebuke the forces of darkness that seek to torment you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of fear, oppression, and sleeplessness to flee! The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is a defeated foe, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:13-18 instructs: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, and stay alert with perseverance. The enemy seeks to wear you down through sleeplessness and fear, but we declare that you will rise in the strength of the Lord and stand firm in His promises.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2 WEB). We ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, that no harm or terror would come near their dwelling. Rebuke the enemy, Lord, and silence every voice that seeks to bring fear, confusion, or torment. We declare that their mind is guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB), and that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, protected by Your power.
Father, we ask for deep, restorative sleep for them. Let Your presence be a blanket of peace over them as they lie down, and may they wake up refreshed and strengthened in You. Remind them that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You are watching over them always (Psalm 121:3-4 WEB). Fill them with the assurance that You are fighting for them, and that no attack of the enemy can prevail against Your purposes for their life.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Search their heart and show them if there is any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or open door that needs to be closed. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to full fellowship with You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the truth of Your Word.
We thank You, Father, that You are our deliverer and our shield. We trust in Your unfailing love and declare that the enemy’s attacks will not prevail. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may our brother/sister walk in the fullness of Your victory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Do not grow weary in prayer or in declaring the truth of Scripture over your life. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in faith, and remain steadfast in worship and the Word. The Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1 WEB). You are not alone, and the attacks you are facing are temporary. God’s peace and protection are eternal.
