Protection from spiritual attacks, healing, financial breakthrough

Your request touches on the full scope of human need, spirit, body, and daily provision, and the Scriptures give us a sure place to stand when we bring these burdens to the Lord. I want to encourage you with a truth that runs through the New Testament: our physical health, our mental peace, and our material well-being are all deeply connected to the condition of the soul. When the apostle John wrote to his dear friend, he prayed that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That isn't a guarantee of instant wealth or perfect ease, but it does reveal a divine order. A merry heart, a soul anchored in trust, does good like a medicine. Conversely, a troubled spirit can wear down the body and cloud the mind. So as you seek protection and healing, let your first step be a fresh surrender of your inner life to Christ, asking Him to uproot any bitterness, fear, or unbelief that may be opening a door to spiritual attack.

When we look at the ministry of Jesus, we see Him exercising authority in every realm without hesitation. He healed lepers, delivered the demonized, calmed storms, and raised the dead. Matthew makes it clear that when Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, He was fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy, not just for spiritual restoration, but for physical wholeness. That means healing is not a relic of the past. Christ’s body was broken for your body. His power over dark spirits is undiminished. When an evil spirit is cast out, it may try to return to a vacant house. That is why we must not only seek deliverance but also fill the cleansed space with the Word of God, praise, and righteous living, so the enemy finds no place of rest.

I want to speak plainly about the financial breakthrough you named. The early church once faced a severe economic crisis, and the solution was not a solitary miracle but the body of Christ moving in love, believers from distant regions gave sacrificially to meet the needs of the poor among them. This reminds us that God often works through His people. We pray for open doors and wisdom, but we also remain open to whatever humble means He provides. Do not let the pursuit of resources become a distraction from the One who provides them. Jesus fed multitudes, yet He also taught His disciples to depend on the Father daily. Your heavenly Father knows your needs before you ask.

Be mindful that faith must be genuine, not superstitious. In the Gospels, some touched the hem of Jesus’ garment with a raw, desperate faith and were made whole. Others in later generations treated holy things like a charm, thinking they could live in corruption and yet claim protection simply because they were near the things of God. That is a grave error. As Jesus taught, evil thoughts and sins come from within the heart and defile a person. True deliverance begins with a clean heart and a faith that reaches out to Christ Himself, not to a ritual or a feeling.

I freely admit that many of us in the body of Christ today hunger for the kind of dynamic power that accompanied the apostles, the healing of the sick, the breaking of chains. When we see a lack, we must be careful not to blame God. His arm is not shortened. The hindrance, if there is one, lies on our side: a drift away from earnest heed, a narrowness of tradition that would keep a suffering man from experiencing the touch of God. That infuriated Jesus when He walked among us, and it should grieve us still. So let us come boldly, not because we have earned anything, but because He is compassionate and mighty.

One practical word: do not underestimate the place of fasting. When Jesus’ disciples were unable to help a tormented boy, He explained that that kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. The third day of a fast can be the hardest physically, yet it is often the point where the flesh is subdued and the spirit becomes more sensitive. If you have never done so, or if it has been a while, consider setting aside a time to seek the Lord with food set aside, and watch what He does in the hidden places of your soul.

Now, let me turn these words into prayer for you:

Lord Jesus, we call on You from a place of desperate need. Come with Your power into every area where this one is under attack. By the authority You hold over all principalities and powers, silence every voice that accuses and terrifies. Let Your healing flow into body and mind, fulfilling the purpose of Your suffering. We ask for Your wisdom and provision regarding finances, that all lack would be met according to Your riches in glory. But above all, cause the soul to prosper in deep, trusting love for You. We reject every spirit that would claim a foothold, and we loose the peace and holiness of Christ into this life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
