We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child to our Heavenly Father. The cry for protection from abuse is one that God hears with deep compassion, for He is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We stand in the gap for this young one, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father God, we ask You to dispatch Your holy angels to encamp around this child, to be a shield and a fortress against all harm (Psalm 91:11). Break the chains of abuse, Lord, and let Your justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24). We rebuke every spirit of violence, fear, and oppression in Jesus’ mighty name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
We pray for those who are causing harm, that their hearts would be turned from wickedness. If they do not know You, Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them, that they may repent and turn from their ways (Ezekiel 33:11). If they are believers, we pray for conviction and restoration, for You desire truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6).
For this child, we ask for healing—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Pour out Your comfort, Lord, and let him know that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Surround him with godly people who will speak life, truth, and hope into his situation. Give him courage to speak up if he is able, and wisdom to those who can intervene on his behalf.
We also lift up others who may be suffering in silence. Open their eyes to Your love, Lord, and lead them to safety. Let Your light expose every hidden darkness, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17).
Father, we declare that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and his life has purpose and value in Your sight. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him grow in the knowledge of Your unfailing love.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.
