We hear your cry for protection and intervention, and we join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand on His promise that He will command His angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). Father, we ask that You surround this precious child with Your divine protection, shielding him from every form of harm, danger, and abuse.
Abuse is a grievous sin that breaks Your heart, Lord, for You are a God of justice and love. We rebuke every spirit of violence, oppression, and cruelty in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against this child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the abusers would be stopped in their tracks, convicted by the Holy Spirit, and led to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their wickedness, we ask that You remove them from positions of influence over the vulnerable, for You are a God who executes justice for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6).
We also lift up those who may be enabling or ignoring this abuse, whether out of fear, indifference, or complicity. Father, open their eyes to the truth and give them the courage to act justly and protect the innocent. Let Your light expose every hidden darkness, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17). We declare that this cycle of abuse will be broken, and Your healing will flow over your son and all who have been harmed.
Lord, we ask that You comfort this child with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him in his spirit, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You are his ever-present help. Surround him with godly people—mentors, teachers, and friends—who will speak life into him and reflect Your love. If he has been traumatized, we pray for deep emotional and spiritual healing, binding up his wounds as only You can (Psalm 147:3).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as his parent. Give you the strength to advocate for him, the wisdom to navigate any necessary legal or practical steps, and the faith to trust in Your provision. Remind you that You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord goes before you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of the afflicted. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified as You bring deliverance and restoration. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Amen.
