Protection from abuse
We stand with you in this urgent cry for your son’s protection, and we lift our voices together before the Lord, who is mighty to save and a strong tower for the righteous. The abuse your son is facing is an abomination in the sight of God, who calls us to defend the vulnerable and speak out against injustice. Scripture declares in **Psalm 10:17-18 (WEB)**, *"You, Yahweh, have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more."* Your son is not forgotten by God, and the Lord sees his suffering. He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of those who are crushed in spirit.
We must also address the gravity of this situation with the truth of God’s Word. Abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—is an evil that the Lord detests. **Proverbs 6:16-19 (WEB)** lists "hands that shed innocent blood" and "a heart that devises wicked schemes" among the things the Lord hates. If this abuse is happening within a home, a family, or any place where trust has been broken, we urge you to take immediate and practical steps to remove your son from harm’s way. This may involve contacting authorities, trusted church leaders, or organizations equipped to intervene. God often uses His people as instruments of rescue, and we must act wisely and courageously.
At the same time, we recognize that this battle is not only physical but spiritual. **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We must therefore put on the full armor of God and stand firm in prayer, knowing that the Lord will fight for your son. The blood of Jesus is a powerful weapon against the enemy’s schemes, and we claim that protection over him now.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son who is under attack. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have promised to be a refuge for the oppressed. We ask You to intervene supernaturally—break every chain of abuse, expose the darkness, and bring an end to the harm being inflicted. Surround this child with Your angels, as You did for Elisha in **2 Kings 6:17 (WEB)**, so that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.
Lord, we pray for wisdom and boldness for his mother and all those who love him. Give them the courage to act swiftly and decisively to remove him from danger. Provide divine connections with godly people who can offer protection, support, and healing. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
