Protection from abuse
We stand with you in this urgent cry for protection, lifting your son before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts. The evil of abuse is a grievous sin in the sight of God, who calls us to defend the vulnerable and oppressed. Scripture declares in **Psalm 10:17-18 (WEB)**, *"Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more."* Your son is not unseen—God hears, and He will act.
Abuse is an assault on the image of God in humanity, and we must name it as the wickedness it is. **Proverbs 6:16-19 (WEB)** lists seven things the Lord hates, including *"hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* If this abuse is happening within a home, family, or institution, we plead with you—do not remain silent. Seek help from godly authorities, the church, or legal protection if necessary. **Romans 13:4 (WEB)** reminds us that governing authorities are *"God’s servants for your good."* If you have not already, reach out to trusted believers or a pastor who can intervene and provide safety.
We also urge you to cover your son in the armor of God through prayer. **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is a spiritual battle, and we must fight it with prayer, fasting, and the Word of God. Speak life over your son—declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (**Psalm 139:14**), that no weapon formed against him will prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that the Lord is his refuge and fortress (**Psalm 91:2**).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have seen the suffering he has endured. We ask You to intervene supernaturally—put an end to this abuse, Lord. Expose the darkness, bring the wicked to repentance or to justice, and surround this child with Your angels for protection. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over him, breaking every curse, every plan of the enemy, and every stronghold of fear or trauma. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding and restore what has been stolen from him.
Give his mother (or caregiver) wisdom to know how to act, courage to seek help, and discernment to recognize safe people and places. Lord, if this abuse is happening at the hands of someone in authority over him, we ask You to remove that person from their position of power and bring them to accountability. Raise up godly advocates, Father—people who will stand in the gap and fight for this child’s safety.
We declare that this son is *yours*, Lord. You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You have a plan for his life (**Jeremiah 29:11**). Let him know Your love in a tangible way. Heal his heart, mind, and body from every wound. If he has been made to feel worthless or powerless, remind him that he is *yours*—a child of the King.
We rebuke the spirit of abuse, violence, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We command it to flee and never return. Fill this home (or place of abuse) with Your presence, Lord. Let Your light drive out every shadow. We ask for divine intervention—sudden and undeniable—so that this child may live in safety and grow in the knowledge of Your love.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
