We lift up this urgent cry for protection with heavy hearts, standing firmly on the truth that our God is a refuge and fortress in times of trouble. The abuse your son is enduring is a grievous violation of God’s design for human dignity, and we join you in pleading for His mighty intervention. The Lord sees every injustice and hears the cries of the oppressed, and we declare that He will arise to defend the helpless.
Scripture assures us, *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you"* (Psalm 9:9-10). We stand on this promise, believing that God will shield your son from harm and bring an end to the abuse he and others are suffering. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of violence, fear, and oppression in the name of Jesus and command it to flee.
We also recognize the importance of earthly action alongside spiritual warfare. If your son is in immediate danger, we strongly encourage you to involve law enforcement or child protective services, as God often works through those He has placed in authority to bring justice and safety. *"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established"* (Romans 13:1). Do not carry this burden alone—seek godly counsel, support from your church family, and professional help to ensure your son’s protection.
Father God, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up this precious child who is suffering. We ask You to surround him with Your angels, to be his shield and defender. Break the chains of abuse, Lord, and bring those responsible to justice. Heal the wounds—visible and invisible—that have been inflicted, and restore his sense of safety and worth. Give his parents and caregivers wisdom, courage, and strength to advocate for him and to trust in Your provision. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn his ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). May he come to know You as his ultimate Protector and Redeemer.
We also pray for the abusers, that their hearts would be convicted by the Holy Spirit and that they would repent and turn from their wicked ways. *"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). May Your grace break the cycle of violence and bring transformation.
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw your son—and your entire family—closer to Jesus. May he experience Your love in tangible ways and grow in faith, knowing that You are with him always. We trust You to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28) and to bring redemption from this pain. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
