Protection from abuse
We stand with you in this urgent cry for protection, lifting your son before the Lord with hearts burdened for his safety and well-being. The abuse you describe is a grievous evil in the sight of God, who calls us to defend the vulnerable and oppressed. Scripture declares in **Psalm 82:3-4 (WEB)**, *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."* Your son is precious to the Lord, and we join you in pleading for divine intervention to shield him from harm.
The enemy seeks to destroy, but our God is a strong tower—a refuge in times of trouble (**Proverbs 18:10**). We rebuke the spirit of violence and abuse in the name of Jesus, commanding every evil hand raised against your son to be bound and rendered powerless. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not ignore the cries of the afflicted (**Exodus 22:22-24**). We pray for supernatural protection over your son’s mind, body, and spirit, that the Lord would place a hedge of angels around him, hiding him under the shadow of His wings (**Psalm 91:4, 11-12**).
We also pray for wisdom and courage for you as you navigate this situation. If there are authorities, church leaders, or trusted believers who can intervene, we ask the Lord to guide you to the right people and provide the strength to take necessary action. Do not be afraid, for the Lord is with you (**Isaiah 41:10**). If you have not already, we urge you to seek help from local authorities or organizations equipped to protect children from abuse—this is not a burden you must carry alone.
Let us also pray for the abuser, that the Lord would convict their heart and bring them to repentance.
