We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his protection and deliverance from harm. The abuse he is facing is a grievous evil, and we stand firmly against it in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has called us to defend the vulnerable and oppressed. The Scriptures remind us that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. *"The Lord also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble."* (Psalm 9:9, WEB). He sees the affliction of His children and will act on their behalf, for He is just and righteous.
We also remember the words of Jesus, who said, *"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea."* (Matthew 18:6, WEB). The abuse your son is enduring is not only an attack against him but an affront to the Lord Himself, who loves and cherishes every child as His own. We declare that the hand of the wicked will be stopped, and those who perpetrate such evil will be held accountable by God, who judges righteously.
At the same time, we urge you to take practical steps to ensure your son’s safety. If you have not already done so, we strongly encourage you to seek help from trusted authorities, such as law enforcement or child protective services, who can intervene on his behalf. The Bible teaches us to act with wisdom and courage, not only in prayer but also in deed. *"Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!"* (Proverbs 24:11, WEB). You are not alone in this fight—God has placed people in positions of authority to help bring justice and protection.
We also pray for your strength and discernment during this difficult time. May the Lord fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding and guide your steps as you advocate for your son. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up this precious child who is suffering at the hands of the wicked. Lord Jesus, You see the pain and fear he endures, and we ask You to intervene mightily on his behalf. Surround him with Your divine protection and deliver him from every form of harm and danger. Break the power of the abuser and bring their evil deeds to an end. Expose their actions, Lord, and let justice prevail. We pray for Your supernatural intervention to place a hedge of protection around this child, shielding him from further harm.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and courage for his mother as she seeks to protect him. Guide her to the right people and resources who can help bring an end to this abuse. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace, knowing that You are fighting this battle on their behalf. Let Your light shine into the darkness, bringing healing, restoration, and hope.
We rebuke the spirit of abuse and violence in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against this child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let Your justice roll down like waters and Your righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). We trust in You, our mighty God, to act swiftly and powerfully.
Finally, we pray for the salvation of those who are perpetrating this abuse. Lord, convict their hearts and bring them to repentance. Let them see the gravity of their sins and turn to You for forgiveness before it is too late. May Your mercy triumph over judgment, and may they be transformed by the power of Your grace.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Amen.
