We stand with you in this urgent cry for protection, and we lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that He is a mighty fortress and a deliverer to those who call upon His name. The abuse you speak of is an abomination in the sight of God, who calls us to defend the helpless and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Proverbs 31:8-9 declares, *"Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."* This is not only a plea for divine intervention but a call to action—whether through prayer, wise counsel, or seeking godly authorities who can intervene.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees the affliction of His people and hears their cry (Exodus 3:7). We claim His promise in Psalm 91:11-12, where He commands His angels concerning those who trust in Him: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We pray that the Lord would surround your son with His heavenly host, placing a hedge of protection around him that no weapon of the enemy can penetrate.
Yet we must also address the spiritual battle at hand. Abuse is not merely a physical or emotional attack—it is a scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of violence, oppression, and fear in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding every demonic influence to flee from your son and those involved. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We take our stand in the authority of Christ, declaring that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also urge you, if you have not already, to seek godly counsel and support—whether through your church, trusted believers, or authorities who can intervene legally if necessary. The Lord often works through His people to bring about justice and protection. Do not carry this burden alone, for the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Finally, we pray for the abuser—that the Lord would convict their heart, bring them to repentance, and break the cycle of sin that has ensnared them. If they are unbelieving, we pray that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to their need for Jesus Christ, for apart from Him, there is no true transformation. If they claim to be a believer, we pray that the Lord would discipline them as a child of God, leading them to turn from their wickedness (Hebrews 12:6-11).
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious son who is under attack. Lord, You are a God of justice, mercy, and protection, and we ask that You would intervene mightily in this situation. Place Your hand of protection over him, Lord, and let no harm come near him. Dispatch Your angels to guard him day and night, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, flood his heart and mind.
We bind every spirit of abuse, violence, and fear in the name of Jesus, and we command it to flee. Lord, expose the works of darkness and bring them to light. If there are others involved in this abuse, Lord, let Your justice prevail. Raise up godly people to intervene—those who will act with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
Father, we also pray for the abuser. If they do not know You, Lord, soften their heart and draw them to repentance. If they claim to be Yours, convict them deeply of their sin and lead them to turn from it. Break the chains of generational sin, Lord, and let Your redemption flow.
We declare that You, Lord, are the defender of the weak and the father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). We trust in Your promises, and we stand in faith, believing that You will act. Strengthen this mother’s faith, Lord, and surround her with Your peace. Let her know that she is not alone, for You are with her, and Your people are standing with her in prayer.
We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
