Protection from abuse
We are deeply moved by your prayer request for protection from abuse, and we stand with you in agreement, seeking God's divine intervention for your son's safety and well-being. It is crucial to approach God in the name of Jesus, as you have done, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father and find salvation. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" and in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of distress and danger, we can find comfort and assurance in God's promises. Psalm 91:11-12 reminds us, "For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We claim this promise for your son, trusting that God will dispatch His angels to protect him from harm.
Moreover, we must not forget the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in all circumstances. James 5:16 encourages us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray for wisdom and discernment for his mother and those involved in his care, that they may know how to best support and protect him. Provide them with the strength and courage to take the necessary steps to ensure his well-being.
Lord, we also pray for the abuser, that You would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. Soften their heart, Lord, and help them to see the error of their ways. We ask that You would break the cycle of abuse and bring healing and restoration to all those affected.

We know the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and that He is a refuge in times of trouble, so we continue to trust Him to move mightily in this situation—exposing darkness, bringing justice, and surrounding your son with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

There is nothing more encouraging than witnessing God’s faithfulness in the lives of His children.
