Protection For The Homeless, Deliverance For Those Addicted And Dying, Safety For All

[FROMWOUNDEDNESS]

Heavenly Father. You are gracious and kind, all-knowing and all-powerful. I come before your throne thru you son Christ who has washed me. I am worthy to stand before you, not because of anything I have done but because Christ sacrificed himself so that I could be blameless.

Lord, I come now asking your help for the homeless, especially for those waiting for shelters to open. May you give them warmth and protect them while they wait. Lord, take their hunger, pain and cold...give them fullness, wellness and warmth. Protect those traveling in such beautiful but dangerous weather.

Please those who bless your children.

Lord, I would also like to set those with addictions at your feet, not just the little addictions that slowly steal your life (sodas, smokes,etc), but those who are dealing with truly demonic addictions. Please be with the young couple I spoke to this morning....so lost, hurting, strung out on what i would assume was Meth. Please Lord...you can do all things. Transform them, make them a living testimony to your goodness and your ability to transform lives.

Again, lord it is so beautiful and cold outside. Grant us all the grace of safety and warmth. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Lord, I too, pray for all the addicted and homeless Lord, they are treated as outcast, by so many, oh Lord, I Thank you that you lead her to speak to this couple Lord, May they feel you Lord, tugging them Lord, send your helpers to them Lord.

Lord, Thank you that these children and family had presents Lord, and food and shelter. 

Lord, I pray for marraige Lord, Soften his heart Lord, help her to know this is not her fault by any means, Lord, Take away this couple's depression and may he realize his true happiness lies within you Lord, and with his family Lord. I pray for your reunion Lord in this family Lord, Give her your direction and your confidence Lord, to do what she must do. No saint here....although i do talk to most everyone I come into contact with, but the couple just happened to come our church today (as our small congregation does a xmass lunch for the homeless each year).  We only have about 550 members across 2 services, but it's one of the reasons we fell in love with Singing Oaks...they are benevolent.  Small church with BIG HEART!!!

OVERCOMING BAD HABITS, ADDICTIONS AND TEMPTATIONS

HERE ARE SOME THINGS ONE CAN DO TO OVERCOME AN ADDICTION:

1. RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY (EPH. 4:23). THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY IN THE WORD. EVERY LUSTFUL THOUGHT MUST BE REJECTED. WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS AND WHEN A BAD THOUGHT COMES REJECT IT (2 COR 10:5) ASK THE LORD TO HELP YOU DEVELOP PURE THOUGHTS. DWELLING ON BAD THOUGHTS AND GIVING IN TO TEMPTATION CAME WEAKEN YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE. GET INTO THE WORD AND GET INTO THE HABIT OF THINKING GOOD THOUGHTS ACCORDING TO (PHIL. 4:8)

2. PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL PROTECTION AND TO OVERCOME TEMPTATION: IF YOU RESIST THE TEMPTATION IT WILL SOON GO AWAY. RESIST THE DEVIL AND SUBMIT YOURSELF TO GOD AND HE WILL FLEE (JAM. 4:7). WHEN YOU BEGIN TO WIN MORE BATTLES THE DEVILS TEMPTATIONS WILL WEAKEN. DO AS JESUS DID AND FIND A SCRIPTURE THAT APPLIES TO YOUR SITUATION AND QUOTE IT TO THE DEVIL AND WATCH HIM FLEE FROM YOU...USE THAT SWORD OF THE SPIRIT TO DEFEND YOURSELF AGAINST HIS ATTACKS. IT WORKS GREAT!

3. MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH (ROM. 13:14). THIS MEANS TO GET RID OF WHAT TRIGGERS YOUR ADDICTION. IT MIGHT BE PORN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. GET RID OF THE MAGAZINES OR PICTURES OR THOSE TEMPTATIONS WILL CONTINUE TO COME WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS ITSELF.

4. ASK THE LORD FOR SPIRITUAL STRENGTH TO OVERCOME THESE TEMPATIONS OR FOR HIM TO LESSEN YOUR SEX DRIVE UNTIL MARRIAGE. SAY THE LORDS PRAYER EVERY DAY. THE LORD WILL DELIVER YOU FROM THE TEMPTATION AND LESSEN IT SO YOU CAN EASILY RESIST IT (MATT. 6:9-13).  IF YOUR TEMPTATION COMES WHEN YOU SHOWER THEN SAY THE LORDS PRAYER BEFORE YOU GET INTO THE SHOWER FOR THAT ADDED STRENGTH AND HELP FROM THE LORD. IT REALLY WORKS GREAT!

3. WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. DEVELOP THOSE RIGHTEOUS HABITS. EXCHANGE BAD HABITS FOR VIRTUES. CRUCIFY THOSE FLESHLY LUSTS (GAL. 5:24). WALK IN THE SPIRIT AND YOU WILL HAVE THAT ADDED STRENGTH FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT TO OVERCOME FLESHLY LUSTS (GAL. 5:16).

REPENTING OF HARMFUL ADDICTIONS

Dear Heavenly Father, I, ____________________________________, do confess that I have abused my body and endangered my physical health with harmful addictions.Please forgive me for abusing my body with mind-altering drugs, alcohol, or harmful substances. I renounce the sinful pleasures and sinful fellowships that these substances create and the sinful activities that follow their use. I renounce any satanic involvement or influence that may be working in my life as a result of using harmful substances.  I recognize that the devil seeks to destroy lives and break up families with such addictive behavior. I ask that you forgive me of walking in this manner and cleanse me of all of this unrighteousness. I ask that you will have mercy on me and heal me of the damage that has been done to my health. Restore my health, my mind and any broken relationships that have resulted from my use of drugs or alcohol. Forgive me and help me to make restitution to any I may have harmed or abused while under the satanic influence of mind-altering substances and drinks.

I, _____________________________________, surrender my life to the Lord Jesus Christ and cast my burdens upon Him. I release my substance abuse and any other sins connected to this from my life. I cancel out all legal claims to my life that evil spirits have gained because of my willful involvement in substance abuse and any other sins resulting from the use of these harmful substances. I pray, Heavenly Father, that you will completely deliver me from my dependence and/or addictions to these harmful substances and the desire to ever abuse myself with them ever again. Pull down all strongholds and addictions that have been erected by the enemy to keep me in bondage to harmful substances. I choose to be a good steward of my health and practice self-control, temperance and/or abstinence as taught in the word of God. Thank you for deliverance, healing and help to overcome alcoholism and/or substance abuse, in Jesus precious name, amen.
