We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up your husband and this concerning situation. The Bible is clear that witchcraft and all forms of occult practice are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." This client’s involvement in witchcraft is not just a harmless hobby, it is an open door to darkness, and we must take it seriously.
First and foremost, we rebuke any spiritual influence or attack that may be directed toward your husband. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the full armor of God would clothe him, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). May he stand firm, not in his own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, who is greater than anything in this world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we ask that You would go before him into these meetings. Let Your light expose any darkness, and may Your presence be so tangible that even this client senses the difference. We pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully, softening hearts and opening eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Your Word says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that any spiritual stronghold in this situation will be torn down in Jesus’ name.
We also encourage your husband to be vigilant. He must guard his heart and mind (Proverbs 4:23) and remain in constant prayer, not just for protection but for wisdom in how to engage with this person. If there is an opportunity to share the love of Christ, may he do so with boldness and grace. But if the Lord leads him to distance himself from this relationship for his own spiritual safety, may he obey without hesitation.
Father, we ask that You would surround your husband with a hedge of protection (Job 1:10). Let no evil come near him, and may he walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his faith, deepen his dependence on You, and fill him with Your Spirit so that he may be a light in this dark place.
Lastly, we pray for this client. Lord, You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If there is any openness in their heart, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Break the chains of deception, and let them see the emptiness of witchcraft compared to the fullness of life in Christ. May they encounter Your love in a way that transforms their life.
We stand on the promise that "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
