We stand with you in the power of Jesus' name, interceding for your daughter and your family. It is clear that you are facing a difficult situation, but we trust in the Lord's ability to turn it around for His glory.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is by His salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we are enabled to live our lives in obedience to Him. We also follow the call of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray that Jesus will indeed block this young man from taking advantage of your daughter. It is evident that this relationship does not align with biblical principles. The young man's behavior, causing financial hardship and making her feel worthless, is not a demonstration of godly love. As it is written in Ephesians 5:28-29 WEB, "So also ought husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." While this passage speaks about husbands, it sets a standard for how a man should treat a woman he cares for, not causing harm but nourishing and cherishing her.
We rebuke the behavior of this young man and his mother, and we pray that any evil plots and schemes will be foiled. We ask God to convict them of their actions and bring them to repentance. We pray that this young man will be freed from his obsessive and selfish behaviors, and that he will seek the help he needs. It is clear that he needs to address issues in his own life before he can consider a godly relationship.
We agree with you in praying for your daughter to move back home and put Jesus first in her life. We pray that she will find thankfulness for her family, focus on her school and work, and that she will be prepared for a godly marriage in the future. As it is written in Proverbs 31:10-12 WEB, "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life." We pray that your daughter will become such a woman, and that God will prepare a godly spouse for her, a man who is a great provider, gentle, and humble.
We stand with you in declaring that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper, as it is written in Isaiah 54:17 WEB, "But no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord."
Finally, we pray that God will bless you, your family, and your daughter with everlasting peace, joy, love, and happiness. The kind that surpasses all understanding, just as you mentioned from Philippians 4:7 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your intervention in this situation. We pray that You will block this young man from causing any further harm to your daughter. We ask that You will foil any evil plots and schemes, and that You will bring conviction and repentance to this young man and his mother. We pray that You will set your daughter free from this situation, and that You will guide her steps as she moves back home and seeks to put You first in her life. We ask that You will bless her with a godly spouse in the future, a man who will love and cherish her as You intend. We declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper, and we ask that You will bless you all with peace, joy, love, and happiness that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
